To be fair, my list kinda fluctuates as well, but there are some - like Psycho, Vertigo, The Big Sleep, the Star Wars trilogy, Bladerunner and Apocalypse Now, The Godfather - that pretty much stay constantly on my list...

I dont agree with "Lord of the Rings" or "Gladiator" trumping "Star Wars" though, "Star Wars" is the original high-concept 'event' movie and for the purposes of something like this should always be on top.... I mean GLADIATOR??? FFS!!! Just a 'sword and sandals' film that
