Incredibly dull show :(. Will.i.am in particular annoyed the LIVING HELL out of me tonight, so annoying. You know it's bad when somehow Britain's Got Talent actually manages to be more entertaining ... dread to think what the ratings are like.

The elimination process is a bit different to what Theo said earlier in the thread, the public actually vote through one act and then the judges each choose another act out of the 'bottom 3', but that will ruin the elimination next week as surely it will be the same person topping it, especially if Ruth tops it (lol don't I mean when?) with a performance like that, if she pulls off another Get Here she'll walk it, easily.

I'd rather it was the public vote out whoever gets the least votes and then the judges choose out of the top 3.

Glad I'm not the only one starting to get bored by this. Watched about 2 performances of tonight's and was bored into watching BGT (!!!!). Now that the novelty of the chairs has gone it's just like a low budget X Factor.

Somehow BGT proved to be the better show. All I needed to do was hope that the BGT final had some brilliant acts and it didn't disappoint.

The thing that's bugging me the most now with The Voice is that the vast majority of performances are OTT. Only a handful have the ability to actually sing the song the way it should be sang whilst making it their own. Sadly these are the contestants with the least chances of winning.

Can you imagine what watchng the final will be like? Dogs will be going mental at some of the notes they hear.

Actually, the only act with potential who actually sings without going OTT is Tyler James so he's now become my fave. Ruth, as much as I adore her, needs to sort out her timing (she still rushes when she sings and ends up ahead of the backing track and has to pause to let the backing catch up). She also needs to tone down the OTT notes - imagine one week she goes for an incredibly high note, damages her vocal chords and starts coughing live on TV. Not good, so I hope Sir Tom Jones coaches her more effectively to get this into her performances. Sometimes less is more.

I was late home from work tonight and haven't bothered iPlayering it, the novelty of the show is the blind auditions and after they've been and gone it's really just X Factor without the punch, shame :( I don't see many future chart botherers amongst the line-up either, sure loads of them have great voices but they nearly all lack any sort of personality, relevance and lasting marketability.

The only two performances I enjoyed were the most understated, Tyler and Adam. Ruth was terrible. I'm all in favour of people reinterpreting songs but hers was a grossly OTT performance of a very good song.

The trouble with any show like this is that a singer with a good vocal range tries to demonstrate it in one song. That is rarely a good idea. Some contestants then make it even worse by trying to demonstrate their range in a single word or even syllable. There are good examples of a singer using a wide vocal range in a single song (Plan B's She Said is a recent example) but they are rare.

I don't think I'll bother Youtubing the performances if comments on here are anything to go by! I have to use iplayer to watch TV at uni anyway, but I can't actually be bothered to even Youtube these any more, what a shame, it started out so well :(

Woeful set of performances overall. The singers in the Britain's Got Talent final leave these Voice contestants in the dust.

Team Tom

Ruth: Disappointed me tremendously. I loved her performance 2 weeks ago - but now she's gone and murdered 'Next To Me'. Over-singing, which turned into horrendous shouting. :o Aside: I thought Tom not knowing Emeli's full name was slightly off, considering she was on the show last week & he had Ruth sing one of her songs. "I hope Emeli was watching" ... and what? To see her song get that shambolic treatment? Good grief.

Matt and Sueleen: Awful, discordant performance.

Leanne: Over-singing to the extreme, horribly unpleasant noise.

Adam: Best of a bad bunch, but completely forgettable.

I'd like Ruth & Adam to say. Ruth showed huge potential two weeks ago, and although she was dreadful yesterday, I'd like her to get an opportunity to redeem herself. Adam, purely by default of being ok.

Team will.i.am

Frances: Still not getting her at all - incredibly weak vocals again. Why exactly do we need a weaker version of Cher Lloyd anyway? We don't.

Joelle: Clearly going through some sort of identity crisis. What kind of artist is she? Think she would have been more on the money with 'I Surrender'.

Tyler: Reasonably good, in comparison to everyone else anyway.

Jaz: The new definition of over-rated. The reaction was more over the top than I'd expected - an ode to his pregnant wife! Sensational! Not a dry eye in the house! Oh please.

I'd like Joelle & Tyler to stay. If only they could give Joelle a suitable song. :( In reality, I expect Tyler & Jaz to stay.

Both teams leave a lot to be desired.

SPOILERS for anybody who wants to know

Looks like Adam + Matt & Suleen have gone from Team Tom.

Bit of confusion around Team Will. Looks like Tyler is through, but rumours on Twitter that Jaz has gone :o

^The latter is actually CRAY and further proof that this show is dead. (Btw it got an appalling 5.6m last night.)

I wish. Frances and Joelle also gone.

This makes me incredibly annoyed with the British public but I knew it was coming. :(

It needs some major work done next year. I don't think the very very early timeslot helps, but it certainly needs a bit of an overhaul once it gets to the live shows.

The show is dying a very quick death. They really need to get their act together for next year.

Although I'd personally be thrilled if

Jaz left the competition

:D.

01. Tyler James

02. Joelle Moses

03. Frances Wood

04. Jaz Ellington

05. Ruth Brown

06. Matt and Sueleen

07. Leanne Mitchell

08. Adam Isaac

I must say that I was actually shocked at how bad the show was this week! Tyler was absolutely brilliant and Joelle and Frances were decent, but I didn't like anyone else. Ruth completely ruined Next To Me, I like her quite a lot and still love her No One version during the battle round but this was just shouting. And I really didn't like how Tom commented on it without barely knowing Emeli her name and saying she did something special. I'm sorry, but Emeli is miles better.

Will is amazing though, he made me laugh so much. I still love Jessie as awell.

Ratings are awful as well! Not that I'm surprised, but still. It's half of the people that were watching the auditions.

Right, I said last night that if Frances had gone I'd be done with this show for good. Looks like there's no turning back now. If it had been Jaz and Joelle going I might have actually stayed.

The way they've hyped Jaz to the high hills, there's no way Jaz WON'T make the live final. I'd be gutted if Jaz went further than Tyler James as of the two, I've much preferred Tyler in the live shows. Jaz is the male Ruth - both got great voices but feel the need to oversing everything which does get both predictable and terrible to listen to.

I think that The Voice has lost some of its appeal now the unique Blind Auditions and Battle Rounds are out of the way- now it's got to the live shows it's beginning to feel like any other talent show. No wonder that BGT managed to pull back in the ratings.

Amazingly ratings were under 6 million according to Digital Spy!
