The latter does deserve to be heard by a wider audience though, still holding out hope for the 'One Direction does Melodifestivalen' concept album for their second LP. Baby Goodbye and Hope & Glory are obviously the first two singles.

Filipp Kirkorov, perhaps you heard of him? Alexander Rybak was praised by him on Eurovision, and Jerick (iirc) posted an article about it or something.

 

For his shows! I wouldn't even be surprised if he claims it's his own songs (because hardly 2% of Russian population ever heard Cara Mia or Måns for that matter and everyone but die-hard ESC fans already forgot Hero :lol: ), he's covered so many classics. There have been a few scandals involving plagiarism too.

 

edit: he was our entrant in Eurovision 1995. Even I forgot about that at first :rofl:

Fair enough, I'm not fully versed on ESC 1995 so didn't remember that/him! I estimate that 0.000000002% of the UK population will have heard Cara Mia at most! Although you do know that the song he covered there is Hope & Glory and not Cara Mia don't you? :o

Yep, I know it's Hope & Glory, I just thought Cara Mia would be the more popular than that.

Oh good! I'm a bit surprised though, as I had assumed that was always the case, as with X Factor finals etc.

Think people are placing a bit TOO MUCH power on the running order. Brolle qualified to straight to Globen, and he was 1st in the running order. Swingfly was 2nd in the running order, he went straight to Globen aswell..
