I *may* have PM'd both Brett-Butler and Suedehead to spread the gospel of Andreas :P
Do you actively search for references to Suede? :D

I've set up a filter that automatically sends me an update every time Suede is mentioned on this forum. :P

EDIT: Either that, or the above

Although your explanation would have been more amusing :D

I must admit I am slightly partial to Sing For Me and A Little Bit of Love...
You should be, both are comfortably within my all time top 20 Melodifestivalen tracks. Still got much love for Andreas

OHSHT MOLLY.

Cuz we're the love love love love love genaratioooooon

We keep keep losing girls in every statiooooon

Next year we'll be be dancing alone for our pensioooons

Not even Red-RedOne writes a song for our salvatiooooon!

Silas' idol and mortal enemy both vying for a place in the final together, how lovely! I fully approve of the odds for Andreas, a return to form after his average 2010 entry, so it would be a crime if this didn't get to the final either directly or through Andra Chansen.

Jesus Love Generation can't sing live to save themselves can they. They are certainly ain't going anywhere near AC nevermind Globen.

Sara Li and her pervy uncle is just straight up odd. Would probably be the next SchlagerDance epic without his odd verses.

That Caroline (?) was so forgettable I can't even remember her name, and I have absolutely no intention of inflicting Andreas Johnson on myself more than once so he can do one for the now. Although I can probably guess his track is full of the same self indulgent smugness that makes me want to run Robbie Williams over with a steam roller.

Molly 'Saviour of Ashton' Sandén is naturally fucking GLORIOUS. A true moment. I need that in full now to put on 24/7 rotation. She'd best be going DTG.

OMG, I've just had a thought - what if Andreas and Molly were head to head in Globen or Bust? Could you IMAGINE Phil's reaction? http://www.moopy.org.uk/forums/images/icons/disco.gif

Provided Andreas lost all would be fine.

If Molly lost I'd probably be clutching a bottle of wine re-enacting the opening credits to Bridget Jones with the studio of 'Why Am I Crying' before promptly entering it to BJSC to solve my little problem of not having an entry.

Alright, let's give these snippets a listen...

1. Youngblood - Youngblood

Well that sounds like pure crap. It's like Manboy and Popular had a child and because these songs are basically brother and sister, its child is a weaker, disabled pastiche of them. What a horror movie! Which reminds me, the names of the authors together "Fredrik Kempe, David Kreuger" brings Freddy Krueger to mind, how ironically appropriate. Also, a closer look at the boys picked to be in this band tells me that...

http://img69.imageshack.us/img69/974/paperboys.png

...they're pretty much the Swedish version of The Wanted as there is about 2 nice looking lads there. Seriously, if it's going to be a crap boyband you better give me some eyecandy to compensate, takk. - 2 poäng av möjliga 12

2. I mina drömmar – Maria BenHajji

Well done on winning the on-line competition babe, but all of this sounds dated, from the candles to the song, and quite frankly I stopped liking this sort of songs since I was 5 years old and obssessed with Portugal's song for Eurovision 1993. - 0 poäng av möjliga 12

3. Förlåt mig – Mattias Andréasson

Now THIS is the whole package! A hunk and a decent enough song! I'm a sucker for a synthetized bass so this quickly caught my ear... and my eye too for that matter!

http://imgs.sthlmsfinest.com/articlePageImages/scaled/10693_330_6500_1.jpg

DAMN GURL! - 8 poäng av möjliga 12

4. Just a Little Bit – Love Generation

Well, I think it's safe to say that by this time next year there will be Love Generation no more. Public interest is null, quality is void and they're basically nobodies even after 2 years on the market (and two songs in only, how productive!). This sounds like a soulless, uninteresting, lazy RedOne production. Serebro did it SO SO MUCH BETTER it's unreal. For an uptempo number like this one, I'm amazed at how bored I am. And I can't stop playing "Dance Alone". - 1 punkt av möjliga 12

5. Sanningen – Carolina Wallin Pérez

Interesting. I can't really think of anything else to say to be honest. I guess it falls a bit more on the bland side. Nice riff though. And she reminds me of Robyn. - 4 poäng av möjliga 12

6. Lovelight – Andreas Johnson

Britpop, circa 1999. He really can't evolve his sound can he? I can see it going down well with the Swedes, but I'm not too keen. I guess it's decent enough though, but I don't share Brett-Butler's fascination with Suede. - 3 poäng av möjliga 12

7. Why Am I Crying – Molly Sandén

Her new style makes her look like Anna Abreu (sorry Pavel). That said, I wish it was indeed the Finnish lass performing here than this bland balladeer (sorry Tirren). The rockier image she's carrying made me think if she was going for a more edgier, Miley-ish pop-rock sound, but apparently it was just the package that changed not the content. We have a saying in Portuguese which loosely translates as "Same sh!t, different smell" and it describes Molly's act so well. The song is actually not that bad, although I'm not too keen on this style, and it's miles better than her previous Mello effort. - 5 poäng av möjliga 12

8. Mirakel – Björn Ranelid feat. Sara Li

HOT MESS INDEED! This is SO gonna win this Heat! A nice modest production and the hilarious poetry recitation by a human lobster! Sara Li is gracious and schlagertastic but it's Ranelid that makes this so worthy of all those Melovotes! It's so bad it's the best! - 10 poäng av möjliga 12

That said, here's how I think the results will turn out tomorrow:

DTG: Ranelid & Li; Andreas Johnson

AC: Youngblood; Molly Sandén

5th: Mattias Andréasson

6th: Love Generation

7th: Carolina Wallin Pérez

8th: Maria BenHajji

Mattias is the one here that can go either way depending on the rest of the song and performance and he'll easily knock down Youngblood or even Andreas Johnson. Ranelid's techno-poetry is a dead cert for the Final and so it Molly for the Andra Chansen round.

FAB POST KLAXON!

(And you're ENTIRELY RIGHT on the two fit ones in Youngblood, except I'm not that much of a fan of the one on the right. He's a bit too gayface let's face it ~)

Klaxon?

I admit he's a bit punchable, but I still would any day of the week!

Been having an Andreas Johnson marathon - Glorious, Sing For Me, A Little Bit Of Love and One Love = schlaternativeger perfection  Make it five Love Light!

I really need to sing Glorious on X Factor, Andreas is primed and ready for a UK top ten comeback, it's JUST the sort of song that would be lifted back to the top with some big exposure.

That's how the public (304 people) voted

Youngblood 41%

Maria BenHajji 1%

Mattias Andreasson 6%

Love Generation 7%

Carolina Wallin Pérez 4%

Andreas Johnson 17%

Molly Sandén 17%

Björn Ranelid & Sara Li 7%

Andreas vs. Molly for the final Globen spot. *moopyha*

Another poll will take place soon, involving more people.

Not always accurate though remember - Melody Club were due to win heat 4 last year by miles according to that!
I'm still expecting Youngblood to fly to the final, it's a Kempe song! Hope Andreas gets the other slot (based on the clips) :D
