This has probably been answered elsewhere, but why is Paradise ineligible for the charts?

Something to do with it being given away free if you pre-order the album I think?

Yeah, if you pre-order the album you get Paradise for free, and for some reason iTunes can't differentiate between that and an actual eligible sale. Stupid really, but there you go.

So the next question is: where would it be charting? I guess around 20 atm?

it so far it hasn't dropped further than 25 on Itunes, which really is an indicator of how popular it is considering there isn't a video, if only they'd released it first :(

Here's hoping Coldplay can get a video out for Paradise by the time the album comes out to push it into the Top 10 when the album comes out and it can officially chart

I think it's great Coldplay have tweaked their sound for Paradise. I first heard only the end of the record and there's no way I would have said it was Coldplay. It's a great song.

I would estimate it has sold 55-60k by now, based on its iTunes positions.
