October 20, 201113 yr Eighth week at #3 for Pumped Up Kicks :drama: I think it could well end up with a ninth next week as well... Good to see Riharris up another place and Coldplay back in the top 40 with 'Paradise' (hopefully it can sell around the same as ETIAW if not more). And obviously fantastic to see SLY at #1 for a fourth time :D Surprised to see Jessie getting another Hot 100 hit. 'Price Tag' never really properly took off but it did stick around for a good amount of time I guess. Hopefully Tinie's next US single can be decently successful. Till I'm Gone was pretty much an epic failure though (did it get any airplay at all?) so I don't have much hope :(
October 20, 201113 yr Good to see Riharris up another place and Coldplay back in the top 40 with 'Paradise' (hopefully it can sell around the same as ETIAW if not more). These are the totals sales as of the last chart (dated October 22): 'Every Teadrop Is A Waterfall' 385,271 'Paradise' 265,558 There's about a 15k difference between the two, and with the latter now increasing in sales due to the video premier, I think it can do it. Also: 'Fix You' 1,216,938 Obviously great to see Adele achieving another week at #1, but I would like some "fresh blood" in the top three - it's getting a bit boring now. Hopefully Katy Perry's 'The One That Got Away' will enter next week (I think it'll be in the Bubbling Under this week - could somebody please confirm), and Beyoncé will climb higher with both 'Countdown' and 'Party' - I have no idea how the former managed to enter higher than the current position of the latter though; I assume streaming of the video played a big factor.
October 20, 201113 yr Good that Britney, Beyonce, Katy and Drake's new songs got into the top 100. Good for Snoop & Wiz getting in the top 10. Nice to see Headlines climbing aswell. The top 3 honestly doesn't look much different to how it was in the summer.

Those figures for ETIAW and Paradise seem a bit low... from Billboard.com: "Paradise" and "Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall," the album's first two singles, have sold a combined 1.14 million copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan. http://www.billboard.com/#/news/coldplay-s...005422552.story Surely SoundScan can't be THAT far out... Great tally for Fix You considering it only peaked at #59 in the USA (criminal!), I really want to see an updated tally for Viva La Vida though - do you have a figure for that as well? (Also TOTGO is already in the Hot 100, it's #94 :P) Edited October 20, 201113 yr by Bré
October 21, 201113 yr Those SS numbers might be track sales, and Billboard's figure contains all single formats. Mr. Saxobeat has no chance of reaching Top 15 but it might sneak into top 20 for a week, not next week though.
October 21, 201113 yr I didn't expect something like Mr Saxobeat to go anywhere NEAR Top 20 in the US so I am very impressed and pleased by #21. It's also nice to see Adele, Lily Allen, Natasha Bedingfield and Jessie J having hits over there (however minor some of them are.)
October 21, 201113 yr Big amount of British females in the BB hot 100 .... Glad that Adele is still number 1 and Great new entries by Britney and Jessie J.... Gutted that J.Lo's Papi didn't do any better  such an amazing song & video....
October 21, 201113 yr Don't know how many physical sales it takes to get #1 in America, but Lana Del Rey is at #1 this week!! :D HOT SINGLE SALES 1 NEW 1 Video Games, Lana Del Ray 2 1 5 Mr. Know It All, Kelly Clarkson 3 2 2 Like 'Em All, Jacob Latimore Feat. October 21, 201113 yr Those SS numbers might be track sales, and Billboard's figure contains all single formats. Other way round I presume since that would mean the SS numbers are lower :P 18 16 9 Feel So Close, Calvin Harris Calvin is quite the MASSIVE US SUPERSTAR now isn't he  9 weeks in the Hot Singles Sales chart :kink: Edited October 21, 201113 yr by Bré
