Omi's is going to be way more unlucky. I wouldn't say Jealous was unlucky, more unfortunate.

Probably because it's already been charting for 16 weeks.

Anyone who wants a list of all the UK singles that peaked at number 2 and also all the million sellers they can find all that information HERE and click on Chart Features
New Order - Blue Monday was the biggest selling 12" single. There was no 7" release.

What's that got to do with the thread?

I guess as mentioned earlier in the thread OMI could be considered an unlucky #2, if the tragic events of November 30th 2013 didn't happen then nothing would be standing in OMI's way right now.

But on the other hand OMI or his record label have themselves to blame for not releasing earlier when the competition wasn't as stiff as it is now.

This reference has gone over my head. Explain?

Took me a few seconds to get that too but that's the date of Paul Walker's tragic accident, of whom the song is based upon.
OMI - Cheerleader being one of the most unluckiest now for multiple reasons  including massive pre-orders and the unexpected release of Wiz's smash! :nocheer:

For me the unluckiest #2 has to be Question by Moody Blues from 1970 next also from 1970 is All Right Now by Free and Black Night by Deep Purple

They certainly don't make great music like this anymore.

It's not fair rubbish like Madonna gets into the Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame yet not great acts like the Moody's.

Moody Blues - Question

Free - All Right Now

Deep Purple - Black Night

Oh, and the Carly track if it's stopped by Wiz. The injustice :nocheer:

Clean Bandit & Jess Glynne - Real Love

If Band Aid 30 didn't release Do They Know It's Xmas on the same week (in November?! ) then Real Love would have been #1. Also it was the outbreak of Ebola that fuelled this re-recording of a 30 year old song.
