Okay. I admit, I did word my post in that way for DRAMATIC EFFECT. :kink: But it's vaguely true.

But seriously, I think there's probably other artists who are as domineering as Lady Gaga, but I think one of Lady Gaga's strong selling-points to the public is that she has lots of creative input into her music, so I'm sure her managers don't mind such stories going into the press, because most of the public will see it as "That's good that she's taking some control" rather than "She needs to shut up and let her managers make the decisions".

As an artist she does seem far weaker than two years ago. I haven't heard about her management issues until reading this thread tonight but it all sounds believable. Her chart performances should really have been better, tracks being released midway through weeks and videos for songs taking ages to complete indicate some issues. Rihanna and Katy Perry have had far better years than Gaga this year.

There are no management issues. She was thanking them and couldn't praise them enough at the EMAs a couple of hours ago. She's said she doesn't care about chart positions, hence why she's been releasing mid-week, and ALL artists keep us waiting for music video's, not just GaGa (*cough*Katy Perry 'The One That Got Away'*cough*). In the UK yes, KP and Rihanna have been performing better, but not worldwide.

Anyway, back to iTunes... :P

15. It Will Rain - Bruno Mars

18. Me Without You - Loick Essien

^ looks like these two might well go T10 at some point this week

I doubt Bruno Mars & Lock Essien will go top 10.

01. Rihanna & Calvin Harris - We Found Love 100%

02. Jls - Take A Chance On Me 83%

10. Charlene Soraia - Wherever You Will Go 40.3% 0.6%

11. Pixie Lott - What Do You Take Me For 38.5% 1% Decreasing already, her promotion tomorrow is Vital)

20. Florence & The Machine - Shake It Out 21.4% (Combined 26.4%) #13th Combined.

If she doesn't care about chart positions, her managers should DO care about this

New Releases

2 JLS 'Take A Chance On Me'

11 Pixie Lott 'What Do You Take Me For'

15 Bruno Mars 'It Will Rain'

18 Loick Essien 'Me Without You'

20 Florence + The Machine 'Shake It Out' (not a new release but has a X Factor boost)

22 Maverick Sabre 'I Need'

25 Tinchy Stryder 'Off The Record'

31 Afrojack & Steve Aoki 'No Beef'

70 Nickelback 'When We Stand Together'

73 Modestep 'To The Stars'

I think JLS will still get to #1 because of physicals.

They may *start* at #1 because of them, but as Cher Lloyd proved last week, they aren't enough to save you if you trail significantly on downloads...

Well I do hope the new releases don't decide to all massively underperform again next week... WTF at Pixie not even going top 10, maybe I should listen to SLlewellyn more  Although I guess the Cosmic Rule of Pixie Lott is preventing her from going T10 - it wasn't heading for #1 so it has to stall at #11. But a JLS song stalling at #2? :drama:

Afrojack isn't underperforming but after past form by the other artists with new releases this week you'd expect them to all be doing better. Maybe not Maverick Sabre either (him and Tinchy are on Now! 80, oh dear).

This week reminds me of last year's week when there was a shitload of major releases (Ne-Yo, Roll Deep/Alesha, Tinchy/Taio and something else) and all of them stalled outside / just inside the top-20.

I'm very surprised Pixie is struggling. I thought she'd get top-5 without any doubt. Seems like she is cursed and has problems of getting into the top-10 if the song isn't heading to #1.

If I told you why *I* think it is stalling, I'd get myself into trouble for the usual reason... ;)

Pixie's AAT has been a massive radio success and still failed to stay in top 20 for two months so it's not a big surprise that the new single is underperforming... Her fans bought AAT right away but there wasn't enough interest towards it to sell really.

I wake up and I see JLS are stuck to number 2 ! Shocker ! This has made my day already

Not even reaching number 1 with a brand new song ? New low for JLS :kink:

let's just say it wasn't the right single choice

13. It Will Rain - Bruno Mars

14. Me Without You - Loick Essien

18. Shake It Out - Florence + the Machine

21. I Need - Maverick Sabre

23. Off the Record - Tinchy Stryder

29. No Beef (UK Radio Edit) - Afrojack & Steve Aoki

62. When We Stand Together - Nickelback

70. To the Stars - Modestep
