So much UK promo for Gaga in the next week or so!!

Saturday: Gaga vs Queen week on X Factor

Sunday: Gaga performs Marry The Night on X Factor

Thursday: Children in Need Rocks - Performing Born This Way & Marry The Night

Friday: Children in Need - another performance

Sunday (20th): Alan Carr's Chatty Man

:w00t:

I hope this all helps the album significantly, then the video the week after (24th?) shoots MTN higher and higher

See i think part of Gaga's problem now is she gave such lavish performances during her peak of the fame era, and now she either goes OTT and it is a complete mess or she plays it simple and it looks boring. Also her promo whoring for this record has actually not done her any favours, as it is just yet another Gaga performance now, not something to look forward to. Gaga literally performs at every music awards and it has lost the excitement.

Rihanna seems to have got it right, doing few but big promo slots, it makes them seem bigger and more anticipated. Rihanna's other promo comes from video, singles and featuring on others singles to keep her name on peoples lips, but this doesn't detract from her performances.

GaGa just tries too hard now, that's why we haven't had a properly good video since 'Telephone' (although 'Paparazzi' and 'Bad Romance' are untouchable), she's completely lost who she is and what made her exciting underneath all the crazy outfits and constantly trying to out-GaGa herself. Having said that, Born This Way is still my album of the year but she as an act has lost the excitement factor she had two years ago.

JLS down to 3rd now, selling only 60% of RiRi!

Where will they be by a week tomorrow? :P

It pleases me greatly to see Labrinth still at #2 while Professor Green is down to #6. The UK seems to have figured out which song is better. Shame the same hasn't happened in Ireland where Green is #4 and Labrinth only #24.

Well, 2 weeks after She Makes Me Wanna was released, it was climbing back to #1 on iTunes, so...

I would love for Labrinth to climb to #1 by some miracle. At least next week, he should have two songs he produced in the top 10. Nu-Dr. Luke maybe.

Didn't notice Kasabian at #140, not released for another fortnight so I hope it can somehow avoid flopping horrifically.
I hope I see The Saturdays in the top 100 this time tomorrow :'(

Something's gone horribly wrong for them if they're not top 20 at least by then...

Is there any confirmation on You Da One getting released tomorrow? Hopefully it doesn't (get released both here and in the US until after the album release).
I just realised that 'Take A Chance On Me', which would have been JLS' 6th #1, is going to be beaten to the top by Rihanna's 6th #1. Fun coincidences! Especially as the last '6th #1' before We Found Love was Sugababes' About You Now in 2007.

I'm not sure. I hope it's released by the time Rihanna performs it on X Factor. But if it gets released after the album release, it'll just chart anyway, like What's My Name? did.

Foster The People - Call It What You Want is no.199, hopefully it keeps rising.

Upcoming singles climbing up the chart:

111. Beyonce - Love On Top - This has GOT to be a hit

Unfortunately, I can honestly see most of these missing the top 40.

Countdown was also meant to be a hit. End Of Time and I Was Here better be released and save this album. :(

I don't think Love on Top will do very well, because it's not very mainstream. Infact, nothing on Beyonce's album is particularly mainstream at the moment. :( I love the album so much though. So many potential singles that could've been massive chart hits any time between 1990 and 2009. Probably could've been hits in the 80's too, since apparently the charts had a LOT of variety back then.

I Was Here probably would have the best chance at doing well in the charts, since it's a bit like Halo I think.

I think Jls will have a massive tumble to around #10 next week with Collective,Saturdays,Westlife,Flo Rida, Snow Patrol, (Maybe Rihanna will release her song during the week) and One Direction. Jls could even drop out of the top 10 next week if Guetta & Sheeran overtake them knocking them down to #6th combined.

Didn't realise there were going to be so many high profile new releases next week. :o From that list, the only track that is most likely guaranteed to not make the top 10 is Snow Patrol. I suspect they'll chart low top 40 if lucky. Then there's Westlife who despite whoring themselves on X Factor ( ) I'm really unsure if they've got what it takes to make the top 10 next week. They've been so irrelevant for so long I'm amazed it's taken them this long to call it a day.

From the remaining new releases The Collective, One Direction and The Saturdays will make the top 10.

If it's been confirmed that both Flo Rida and Rihanna's new singles will also be released next week then they have a very strong chance of making the top 10.

Predictions?

One Direction #1

The Collective #2

Rihanna #5 (assuming it is released)

Flo Rida #6 (possibly climbing the following week)

The Saturdays #9

Westlife #13 (would be so apt!!! :heehee: )

Love On Top is an awful single choice, it's so beige  It just does nothing for me, I don't even think I can dislike it, sonically it's just there... I Was Here and End Of Time are the obvious hits to me.

For me personally, the whole '4' era has been an absolute disaster with one excellent single 'Best Thing I Never Had' whilst every other single I've heard ('Run The World', '1 + 1', 'Countdown') having no redeeming features to make them stand out as classics in the making. The type of song people will have forgotton about come March 2012.

'Love On Top' is actually not bad compared to those but it's still far from being anywhere near Beyonce's best. I don't think Beyonce will have anymore top 10 hits from this album. Not even 'Love On Top'.

Snow Patrol would have been top 10 contenders I think (Called Out In The Dark made #11, after all) but they're releasing the album on Monday which will harm the single's sales. I can still see it scraping top 20.

Yes, YOU will forget about Countdown, etc. by March 2012, but millions of people will still remember them by then, and for years to come.

I agree that Beyonce won't get any more top 10 hits from the album though. Don't get me wrong, I think she has lots of great songs, but they're just not what the public are liking at the moment. Similar with What Do You Take Me For. Great song, but not what the public want, so it won't sell well. The public want things like Party Rock Anthem, Mr. Saxobeat, Sweat, Don't Wanna Go Home, Give Me Everything, etc. atm, and Beyonce has nothing like this on her album.
