Jeez, What About Us really is nosediving... I can't see it climbing back up that far now if it continues to drop at the rate it is. Oh dear. :(

I dare say they're not going to succeed over there. I said from the start What About Us was the wrong song to debut with and wouldn't do much for them nor propel them to stardom Stateside. It's more worrying that they seem sure that the reality show was the only tool they needed to help them do it (and that's looking like its fallen flat on its face now too). Hopefully the second single could do something for them but by then Little Mix will - most likely - have taken over a la 1D.

If they don't succeed over there and their UK situation doesn't improve after this album then I reckon they'll call it quits, especially with Rochelle just becoming a mum now too, and Ben not really getting to see Aoife/Una. Perhaps after a 'Greatest' Hits tour/album for the fans or something but how much longer can they keep going if they can't sell? I'd love them to keep going, success or no success, for the music but the label won't see it like that. And since their contract with Polydor was for 5 albums I think - and all things considered, I'd say this is the fifth album... would that contract be renewed if nothings changed sales wise? Where else can they go? Even Una said it was 'make or break' in regards to America and their career in an interview somewhere recently. Think it might have been that Sunday Mirror magazine where they dressed as cheerleaders or the Daily Mail one where they were in those sparkly dresses the other week - can't remember which one. :P

I can't see this being their last album. Una is incredibly passionate about the band so I'm sure she would work something out regarding Ben/Aoife. Rochelle will probably be able to cope with a baby just like Una did. They just need to get to a level (at least in the UK) where they only need to do big performances because airplay will be big enough for them.

As for America, well it's not over yet. I'm a bit bitter about What About Us plummeting especially because it COULD have been in the top 100 by now if they bothered to stay in the country. If they're staying in the UK in February and only returning to the US after the UK release then they deserve to flop. How stupid are their label that they don't understand every artist NEEDS airplay in the US? How come they can go on Daybreak without Rochelle but they can't do radio tours in the US? Their reality show isn't doing great, they have an EP out, their song was close to the iTunes top 100 and they're in the UK doing nothing! What a wasted opportunity.

If they don't release Higher then they're morons.

EDIT - The EP has fallen from #34 to #49 today. :(

1261. The Saturdays - What About Us *Sigh*

220. The Saturdays - What About Us (Uk Pre-Order) I'm worried that this has not once went in the top 100 on the album chart, but it's been around 210-230 on Album Chart for the past week now.

Don't worry, once it is released it will go in! plus many will buy the single :D I really hope that it does well in the UK it seems to have the most views they've ever had before a release. The best has been MHTO with 1.7 mill views, this has 4.4mill. I know we say this all the time but I think if they get a really big slot on a UK TV show then it could go number one? Even top 5?

UK Will be fine. Nothing to worry about Radio 1 will support and Capital are LOVING WAU..They haven't supported The Sats in a while now and it's good to see it being played across all Capital channels regularly.

Don't forget we've got over a month before release yet, so being at #230 etc..isn't that bad for them at all!

I guess the USA hasn't worked out too brilliantly, but it's definitely had an impact here as it's given the media plenty to talk about as well as a whole host of magazine covers etc...

Don't forget WAU is being released in other countries too, so you never know could be a surprise hit somewhere else too??

I still need to preorder my CD!

You really do!

Gone are the days of £2.99 and free delivery ( Now £3.99 & £1.99 P&P).

I've done it. Oh I know 5.98 bloody hell

Airplay is starting to Kick in already.

E.P Up to #121 in Albums in the UK

Finally back in the US iTunes chart at #1293. Hope it doesn't drop out again.

#135 on the UK album chart.

144 on UK album chart.

This isn't too badly with the hanging around between 100 and 200 (similar to Gabrielle Aplin). The only other big competition for the week (Icona Pop) is currently sitting around 1000 places lower. I'm hoping for a Radio 1 playlist today to push the pre-order closer to top 100!

Well, you never know, I think it's doing well for a release that's being released in 3 weeks+
