Well in Germany it's like this: A track can only chart if there is a CD-single availabe or if the record company apply for a song to be chart-eligable and theerfore they have to pay a fee to the chart company. The charts are not compiled by numer of tracks/singles purchased but by turnover. For the singles chart e.g. 1 download=1piece. 1 DL-bundle = 2.3 pieces, 1 cd-single=2.3 pieces and 1 Maxi-cd-single (also called "Premium-single)=4.3 pieces. So it is very difficult to get a good chart position without at least a DL-bundle or even better a CD-single. Therefore many record companies do not want a song to chart before several formats are availabe - because this would cost a high chart entry. So it is not unusual that tracks are availabe to download - get very high chart positions on itunes chart e.g. - but are not in the official chart.

That's absolutely rubbish from record companies if they don't allow downloads to chart (I know because of fees), they lose those sales and higher chart position anyway. The solution would be to release every format they want in the same time and not releasing downloads weeks before the physical formats or Download-bundle.

They only lose sales if they don't allow digital tracks to chart. Those digital sales are lost sales

Or the better solution would be to change those ridiculous rules. Letting a digital track to chart for a fee that 's not acceptable imo.

Wonder how big the gap is between #10 and #13

From livepopbars, the gap is around 12%.

Nice to see The Sats are climbing still. I thought they'd stall a bit longer at the 15/16 region! Hopefully it can eventually go top 10.

Woah at the top 10 boost Flo has been given  I've not heard it ANYWHERE yet.

2. Gotta Be You - One Direction

3. Good Feeling - Flo Rida

13. My Heart Takes Over (Radio Edit) - The Saturdays (& 78)

24. Lighthouse - Westlife

35. Please, Please, Please, Let Me Get What I Want - Slow Moving Millie

47. Another World - One Direction

67. Teardrop - The Collective

112. Shake - Little Boots

Little Boots hasn't broken the top-100 then. I like the song but it was NEVER going to do well.

Had an inkling that Flo Rida would shoot to the top end of the chart soon - I'd not heard it before yesterday, heard it twice and just loved it - so that's where my purchase came from.
I knew Good Feeling would be a smash in the Uk! I think the gap is too big for The Saturdays to overcome tbh, their promotion comes too far into the week and the promotion is really not that good.

9. Maroon 5 - Moves Like Jagger 43.8%

10. Charlene Soraia - Wherever You Will Go 43.6%

11. LMFAO - Sexy And I Know It 39.6%

12. Professor Green feat. Emeli Sande 38.9%

13. Cher Lloyd feat. Mike Posner - With Ur Love 27.2%

14. The Saturdays - My Heart Takes Over 26.1%

I have only just heard the new Flo song. That Etta James sample is quite popular at the moment, given that Avicii used it too in one of the versions of 'Levels'.

if Flo Rida carries on the way he is going he could challenge number 1 more strongly than 1D!

Westlife are moving up slightly, are they performing at CIN/CIN Rocks?

Teardrop is moving up slowly, it will get a massive push when it is performed on Friday, it could easily sell 50k that night if it goes well, still think the least it will get is a top 20 placement. Sales for it will stay strong next week as well as is usually the case for CIN singles.

It's just annoying that the likelihood of Avicii's 'Levels' being a hit is drastically reduced - now that Flo Rida is set to debut in T3 with 'Good Feeling'.

Anyone got figures for Professor Green and Cher Lloyd combined - would help see what the chances of The Saturdays debuting in the #11-15 region actually are.

What promotion do the Saturdays have lined up?

I know they were on Daybreak this morning and The Album Chart Show later in the week.

If it's got 13 and 78 combined, plus other sites, and physicals i'm hoping it can keep increasing throughout the week and become their 11th top 10.

They have no promo until Friday and the weekend it seems :( Unless they get some last minute promo fixed up but I doubt much will be available.

Well Flo-Rida and Avicii seem to be doing really well at the same time in Europe, so not all hope is lot.

01. Rihanna & Calvin Harris - We Found Love. 100%

02. One Direction - Gotta Be You 78.1%

03. Flo Rida - Good Feeling 59%

Looks like Rihanna will be number 2 in tomorrow's midweek and come friday overcome another boyband. Jls, The Wanted & One Direction should be hating on her.

10. Maroon 5 - Moves Like Jagger 42.6%

11. Lmfao - Sexy & I Know It 38.5%

12. Professor Green - Read All About It 37.6% (Combined 44.8%)

13. The Saturdays - My Heart Takes Over 28.5% (Combined 32.6%)

14. Cher Lloyd - With Ur Love 26.6% (Combined 36%)

I wouldn't be surprised to see The Saturdays be in the top 10 tomorrow in the midweeks, however they will start to fall on tuesday as most songs do. It will not go top 10 on iTunes and it's a shame all their promotion is at the end of the week, at the very least they could be doing is having Ustreams, more twitter chats as I do think they will start to gain on Professor Green & Lmfao.
