Marcus Collins - I'm Your Man 7/10

 

I know it's supposed to be guilty pleasures but this song is quite karaoke imo. It always comes off a little cheap - a bit like when Kitty sang 'Don't Stop Me Now. It doesn't matter how strong a singer you are, a song like this just doesn't cut it. That said, Marcus is doing a reasonably good job with this song. Good but he's been great in previous weeks.

Janet Devlin = 0/10

Was pretty good, he has great charisma and a good voice. The song choice just let him down, it felt a bit karaoke in places just because it's been done far too many times before.

Marcus (I'm Your Man) - Another good performance, but I am still waiting for a performance that blows me, and I haven't seen one yet. I think his voice is too generic for radio. - 8.0/10.0

Hmmm yeah I see where you're coming from. I've got a REALLY bad feeling Little Mix might end up bottom two alongside Misha so far, I reckon their second performance will save them though, at least I hope so.

 

Really? I think an Amelia vs. Misha bottom 2 is pretty much the only possibility. MAYBE Janet might be there instead of Amelia if her UTB is as awful as her MMMBop but even then I'm not sure.

That was actually a pretty good performance from Marcus.

HMMM. His usual energy felt a bit kind of forced tonight, like he wasn't quite enjoying it as much as he should have been. Average song choice. Good but not great performance.

Looking forward to seeing some of these car crashes.

The quieter bits on that were really good. It's just a shame she always has to belt because that's when she stops singing and starts shouting and it becomes a really ugly sound. She needs to choose songs which are less reliant on the belting. Her best perf to date though.

Little Mix's GP was so amazing I paused it half way through to check on my dinner.

Oh that was really very good indeed, brilliant song choice.

People think that's really good? She needs to stop screeching. It's not singing, it's screaming. Needs to lower her vocal tone.

Amelia Lily = China In Your Hands 9/10

 

Really impressed with this performance. Well, the last 30 seconds were a tad too OTT but that aside the majority of this performance was very good. For me, the best performance so far after each contestant has performed once.

Amelia (China In Your Hand) - Looked more like Christina than ever tonight, like in the Hurt video. I think she sung it very well, not sure about the song, but she copped very well. - 9.0/10.0

Amelia - I think I much prefer Amelia when she's singing songs like this rather than being an all out rock chick. Really lovely performance. 8.5/10

Hoping Little Mix can turn it around with their second performance.

I'm a big Amelia fan ... or used to be, but in all honesty I found that a little bland!

Another shouty and pretty dull performance from Amelia. Really hope she goes out this week.
