Janet Devlin - Under The Bridge 3/10

 

Well firstly, this is my fave Red Hot Chili Peppers single so I'm already gutted to hear Janet singing this. I thought All Saints version was dreadful too and that was a UK #1 (tragic!!!). At least Janet's managed to remember the words but it just sounds all kinds of weird. I've mentioned this in previous weeks but listening to an album of Janet Devlin would be my biggest nightmare.

Janet has been herself, that's true. It's a pity her true self is so VILE.

Predictable song choice and she shouted and screeched her way through it.

If Marcus doesn't win this competition it'll be a complete tragedy.

ODD MUSIC TASTE wtf, this girl has no idea about music. RHCP is not odd.

 

To be fair she said her music taste is odd APART FROM Red Hot Chili Peppers.

A much better performance that time from Janet. Call me biased all you want but I really enjoyed that.

Janet (Under The Bridge) - That wasn't as bad as the first one, but why can't she just sing in tune? It was really off in parts, but at least she didn't forget the words. - 3.0/10.0

Wow I'm so glad Janet is feeling better aswell. I can't believe people would be so cynical to believe that she made it up because she forgot a whole verse to her song!

Janet - This was a lot better although I have to say it was mostly the chorus I enjoyed. 7.5/10

Little Mix really stepped it up with their second performance! It's in their top three performances, for me, and it's really nice to see them perform a ballid for once. 8.5/10

Janet yet again was very bad. Although not as bad as earlier, but really, I am getting sick of her warbling her way through all her performances. 5/10

Oh Janet. What an OBSCURE, NICHE, NON-COMMERCIAL taste in music you have! Thank God you didn't just sing one of the biggest rock hits of the last twenty years! Better than Mmmbop vocally but still very boring.

Personally, I was very impressed with Janet there - thought that was really good.

 

I wouldn't want to listen to an album of Janet Devlin, I loved her at the start but she's got boring now. I think Mmmbop is the worst thing she's done, but I wouldn't be surprised if her fanbse got her through to the final. Mischa B was terrible as well imo

 

On the other hand Amelia was great, am looking forward to her ending the show. :D

That's essentially the issue with Janet, she's all REAL MUSIC, but without any of the credentials to back it up.

I don't get Janet. She comes across as confident verging on cocky in her VT, then seems petrified when she's being interviewed on stage. She should be bringing VT Janet to the stage after her performance.

 

The best one liner from tonight has to go to Janet after she sang 'MMMBop'; "i don't know what happened there".

TO BE FAIR Janet didn't actually say RHCP were 'obscure' or 'odd' or 'non-commercial' or anything. She said her music taste is (although she's probably lying there as well, I'd be willing to bet she's counting someone like THE XX in that). Even people with obscure music tastes are still bound to like some big acts.

Janet strikes me as someone who says she likes some random act despite having never heard of them before just so she can look cool. Bitch.

Another good performance from Misha, I thought that was going to be another average one from her. Not as good as her 'Girls Just Wanna Have Fun' but still.

This is a very predictable song choice for her. I preferred her first performance tonight

Misha B - Killing Me Softly 6/10

 

Started off shaky but seems to be getting better as the performance progresses. I personally preferred Misha's first performance more. She just seems to be lacking something with this performance. Probably she's feeling the nerves and it could be heard there imo.
