I hope the song title is good.. something different and 'quirky' haha, as much as I hate that word. Hopefully we'll get that if it turns out the single is Xenomania produced, which it seems to be since they're the only people they recently recorded with? They need to do lots more songs with them. Sooo excited to hear it, but at the same time I'm really nervous about it all... hopefully radio don't ditch them...! Maybe they'll do a Radio 1 premiere and then the video a week or few days after in March.

from the flip they cant stress enough its a new song nobody has heard, they have the director from the higher video, the costumes are very colourful. They seem to have left the whole OYR image, so its basically like they are carrying on from Headlines.

Im really excited, lets hope that this song is the one that sorts the messes out and puts them back on the map :)

So let's just tack Notorious and All Fired Up as bonus tracks on to this album, and lets pretend OYR and MHTO never happened.

Chasing Lights - Headlines - Album 3 :P

SORTED!

I don't mind them doing that though, OYR clearly didn't reach many people. Although I appreciate that is a crime when you consider its utter amazingness! However, if the girls moving on to album 3/4/5 whatever they want to call it, or re-releasing OYR with a new package, is what they need to do to stay in our lives a little longer, then I am totally all for it.

Love is only true if hurts.

I think it'll just be a re-release. I really can't see them moving onto a new album after 6 months.

Take with a pinch of salt, but apparently the girls' new single is called 30 Days... or 30 Days (To Love). Saw on Twitter.

The girls new single is apparently called 30 Days (To Love) or contain that phrase :-)

So may just be a fan talking rubbish and making it up, but yeah, thought I'd post.

Only successful albums get re-released, though (Who You Are/The Fame/Teenage Dream/Turn It Up/One Love/Sasha Fierce/Good Girl Gone Bad) or else albums that have produced successful singles but failed to achieve great sales itself (Killer Love/Raymond VS Raymond/Animal/Pink Friday). On Your Radar's biggest hit was a 200K seller than lasted about six weeks in the top 40, and the album itself sold about 40K. It's also been four months already since it was released. What flop album has been re-released four months later? It'd be a complete waste of time re-releasing now because shops aren't stocking the album and as the last three singles underperformed from the album, radio aren't likely to suddenly support something else from the campaign.

It's alot better to just move on and try again.

You're making out as if Notorious and All Fired Up did awfully, which they didn't. Sure, they weren't smash hits, but they did pretty well, it was just MHTO really, and I think there was a distinct lack of promotion with this album, cause I didn't know of any promotion that they did in the week of its release.

It isn't just successful albums that get re-released. Rachel Steven's album Funky Dory was re-released after Some Girls did brilliantly.

I think it's quite reliable, as the person who posted it was the first to find out about Missing You.

I don't think its fair to say only succesful albums get repackaged. Rachel Stevens (as said above) ended up outselling her original version of FunkyDory through the reissue. Also, Im pretty sure Atomic Kitten reissued their first album and went to #1 with it and sold loads after Whole Again.

I think if it has a new cover, called On Your Radar : XXX Edition, featuring the majority of the original songs (White Lies, Faster, Do What You Want..., The Way You Watch Me, For Myself, Notorious, All Fired Up, Last Call, Heart Takes Over) and then a few newbies (five?) it would be fine.

It needs to not only be a killer song but for the release of it to be handled perfectly. They still have a realistic shot but they can't afford any cock-ups!
Yeah, I do think with a killer song like Ego or Up they can still do it, they're not entirely over. This is definitely their last chance though I'd say, to be totally honest they're very lucky to actually be getting another chance at all!

I wouldn't say their lucky, I would say their beyond unlucky though. Their management keep thinking their name alone will get them sales, all but All Fired Up release was f*cked up. The thing is with Saturdays is they allow themseleves to be front loaded, promote first two weeks then after that they don't promote. Look at what happend to Ego, Higher & Up compared to their lead singles they kept on promoting them even after the single release and each single has sold over 300,000.

It still haunts me that All Fired Up opened with 70k and had a 3-4-15 just passing over 200,000 when we had hopes of a 400k+ plus single.

I would say this problem with the promotion is more their doing than the managment. They chose this management. When they were with Jayne, they were EVERYWHERE. She got them the Comic Relief gig, which was great promotion for them. When 'Wordshaker' flopped, they didn't go running into hiding, she got them back out there with another single, chucked Vanessa and Frankie on reality shows to remind people of them. The quality of their songs aren't to blame, it's them wanting to do as little work as necessary. It's so frustrating because they could be really successful and I want them to be, but they never seem to put their all into it.

So after this single campaign is done, are they then off to America to start work?

i think it will be a single, then a documentery will air around the same time as the next single /album release, so not much different to the headlines!/24 7 era.
