Tried to get tickets for The Saturdays at Glasgow SECC and I was hit with the very back row of teired seating, so they're certainly not struggling to sell some tickets.

1st week sales:

Wordshaker 15,022 (total 100,000)~

Chasing Lights 22,393 (total 330,000)~

Headlines 22,981 (total 200,000)~

Why are people losing their hair over this midweek number? Last week's number 18 sold 15,000.

because surely they can only be viable for so long selling less than 300,000 copies of each album. it is not like they have any other markets to rely on either.

they already have all the album production costs, travel/accom for their promo, videos for 3 singles ect they cant be very profitable.

This does happen. It happened with Joe Mcelderry's album. They didn't stock enough in the first week because they didnt expect it to sell as well as it did and Twitter was full of people saying they were trying to buy it but couldn't. I don't know what amount the Saturdays would sell or if it would make a difference but people do just pick up things on impulse that they see. If its not visible its a big problem.

Very true, when I had a Saturday job in Our Price (many years ago  ) it never ceased to amaze me what a difference stock placement made. Some people will apparently buy whatever they find right under their noses when they enter a shop. it's quite surprising.

That's one version of Levels ahead of 'Down For Whatever', now time for the other to also overtake :D Levels is ahead combined on iTunes and it wouldn't surprise me if its top version overtakes Kelly soon.

Surely this will be the first time 2 songs are simultaneously so high while sampling the same song? Has there ever even been two songs in the same top 40 with the same sample, let alone the top 5?

Paradise up to #11 today. It'll be really annoying if it ends up peaking there but it seems likely :(

Rebecca Ferguson down to #8 already, I think Maroon 5 will overtake her by Sunday and end up at number 9 again this week (maybe even higher, they'll probably find a way) -_- I do hope she stays top 10, it's a pleasant enough song although nothing groundbreaking.

Surprised to see TTT as high as #34 while YDO isn't top 40 yet, the two have been pretty close on iTunes since release. Both should easily make the top 40 this week anyway.

This one springs to mind, both are based on Boy Meets Girl - Waiting For A Star To Fall.

Oh yeah, I do remember reading about that actually - still, Good Feeling/Levels are both going to be top 5 failing some unpredictable circumstances so that'll still be beating Star To Fall/Falling Stars.

glad to see Rihanna increasing the gap between her and 1D

hope Olly can hang in there till sunday

westlife sales??

haha! Glad im not the only one who burst out laughing haha

If Olly Murs loses out by a small margin, it will serve him right for not releasing this single on CD. He's lost one sale here. (I'm sure that will make all the difference!) His recent singles HAVE been on CD. Does anyone know why the record company hasn't bothered with this one?

I still think the font could have been bigger tho

No it couldn't. Size 7 is the biggest

:kink:

Edit - Just realised Martin didn't use Size 7

More to the topic, I think Rihanna could get the double this weekend. It would be really well deserved and would show how big she actually is right now. Who was the last 6 weeker?

I used size 5 as some people have smaller screens, it would have stretched the page

Anyhow back on topic...

Specifically the last 6-weeker was The Black Eyed Peas' Where Is The Love? all the way back in 2003 :P But the last to do at least 6 was Leona's Bleeding Love (7) in 2007.

All three songs have 'Love' as the last word of the title - freaky.
