I wouldn't be so sure of those two :P I know quite a lot of people who hate 'only girl' and not too many who find it as the best song of the year. 'telephone' will also have a hard time getting far, as radio and TV had a nice time raping it. I can see them both coming up to round 30 and then generating a lot of votes.

I hope it's 'fireflies' although I'm doubtful it'll get much further. I think 'firework' will win.

 

I didn't think Firework had a chance, since I've heard people on here say they think it's overrated, over-produced and overplayed (over-everything really :lol:).

 

I think it would be a good winner though, and it isn't getting many/any votes at the moment, so you could be right.

 

Fireflies would be a good winner too. An interesting and happy song, and I like the "chip-tune"-esque bits in it. I thought Starry Eyed would be a strong contender to win, but it's not even in the top 40. :drama:

Pass Out is an absolutely amazing, and classic, single. So of course Buzzjack would vote it out.

It's just opinions I guess, but it seemed like probably the biggest song of the year. And in polls by normal people, it would probably win. It won "song of the year" at the BRIT awards, for example. Most people I know in real life think it's amazing.

 

It is actually one of my least favourite Tinie songs though. I preferred Frisky a bit.

'Pass Out' was amazing and was definitely THE signature song of 2010.

I don't even know that 'Pass Out' song so can't say I'm sorry it's gone.

 

Anyway, I've voted for the travesty that is Love the Way You Lie. Can lyrics get any more embarrassing? No. Can Rihanna get any more theatrical? No. Can a song be more overrated? Well.. yes, but this is still very bad.

Rude Boy is the only really good song on the list [imo] and the rest is pretty much equally bad but I thought Love the Way You Lie was in particular overrated so hence it should go. I really don't see what is good about it. Just a few not memorable rap verses with a chorus that could have been written by a 10 year old.
