November 27, 201114 yr Gaga's EP sales seem to be charting as White Christmas rather than A Very Gaga Holiday. It pisses me off that the OCC can't be consistent with these things - Bruno Mars' 'It's Better If You Don't Understand' EP charted under that title rather than 'Somewhere In Brooklyn'. That's what I was going to ask... As "White Xmas" itself has not ever made the Top 300 in iTunes but the whole EP was charting high in iTunes albums chart... and just with 2 days of sales. I really don't get why it has entered as White Christmas.... And I don't get either how on earth MTN was #11-12 ALL WEEK on iTunes, from Sunday to Saturday, and was #15 on midweeks all week, which was weird enough, but today it's #18! :S And now some will come with "there are other stores", bla, bla, bla... But it's a bit strange, tbh.... Hope she releases the video THIS week. Apparently it's released on Thursdat, Dec 1st.
November 27, 201114 yr ^ Yes, I expected MTN to be a bit higher too, but honestly, I've seen much more ridiculous things happen before. Only last week, for example, Drake got to #3 on iTunes but charted #12 officially. If Lady Gaga releases the music video this week, it'll be great for her chart success in the UK, but in the US it will make her lose almost any chance at going top 5 imo.
November 28, 201114 yr The thing with this week is the NOW album skewed things and made certain high songs on itunes fall a few places because their 2/3rd versions were in the top 100 too. So its conceivable MTN was between 11-13 all week and only peak at 18 when songs like M5 fell to 14/15 as their NOW version entered the top 100, then as the week went on the highest version rose again to no11!
November 28, 201114 yr Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere but what is behind the re-entries for Deep Blue Something and Eagle Eye Cherry - as far as I can see, they haven't been used on X Factor UK/USA or Strictly Come Dancing which would be the normal prompt for such tracks to suddenly rise on iTunes?

The same will happen next year once we get the Mercury and Brits noms in. Have you seen the UK rock chart by the way? Three quarters of it are 'classics'. Rock is dead.

Exactly, you have to add up the multiple versions, so the iTunes chart does not always show the real popularity, extremely from #11 downwards.
