What members of a girl group need to bring to the table differs from what you need to make it as a solo artist though. For instance Perrie has a fantastic voice... would she be a great solo contestant? Probably not but she's an ideal lead vocalist for a girl group.

 

Plus you only have to hear their rendition of Don't Let Go (Love) to see that they can SING.

They can sing without a doubt I do like their voices. The standard for girl groups in the UK currently is not that high. I do not think they are anywhere as good as even Parade.

If you look at the Spice Girls, Misteeq or Sugababes 2 they are miles apart.

If you look at the Spice Girls, Misteeq or Sugababes 2 they are miles apart.

Mis-teeq were not all that beyond a couple of good songs. Only one of the three ever had any significant star quality. Parade are crap.

 

I think it's too early to compare them with the greats though. Let's see what music they cook up first. Spice Girls were a complete one-off, there'll never be another group like them so the comparison is useless really.

Well, it's also quite fair to compare a group that has been FORMED 3 or so months ago with the likes of Sugababes and Spice Girls and shout it is not good enough, don't you think?
