June 24, 201212 yr The album is flawless. On another note, I'm obsessed with her alter ego album "Sirens".
June 24, 201212 yr On another note, I'm obsessed with her alter ego album "Sirens". ? EDIT: Wow I had no idea that existed. Edited June 24, 201212 yr by Umi
June 25, 201212 yr On another note, I'm obsessed with her alter ego album "Sirens". Yeah, Sirens is pretty good. My favourite is Aviation. I'm also surprised no ones mentioned the newly leaked tracks; Paris, Puppy Love, Never Let Me Go and Children of the Bad Revolution. Never Let Me Go is especially beautiful. Saw at Hackney yesterday as well and that last note of Video Games just killed it. I'd love to see her in a decent venue now.
June 25, 201212 yr Poor choices, just release "National Anthem" and "This Is What Makes Us Girls" and be done with it woman! my sentiments exactly... the only 2 left worth releasing. And, as much as I LOVE this album still.... I saw her at Lovebox weekend before last.... and she was chronic. She looked and sounded Godawful....... she was on for half an hour, had the personality of a chip, and wore a ghastly peach a-line skirt which showed off seriously chubby knees. And she sounded abysmal. Truly truly terrible. She did 'sing' National Anthem, though. Badly.
July 12, 201212 yr Now I've listened to the album a lot... 10 Born To Die - Just perfect! 08 Off To The Races - Not bad, quite like this one! 10 Blue Jeans - Bad choice for a single but I love it still... 10 Video Games - Stunning. 09 Diet Mountain Dew - Very catchy and slightly different to most of the other songs. 11 National Anthem - Still sounds great, so glad it became a single although it's a shame that it doesn't seem like it's going to do much. 09 Dark Paradise - This has grown on me a lot too recently. The chorus is great. 10 Radio - More uplifting than the majority of the album. 09 Carmen - This has got to be the biggest grower for me, I like the fairytale nursery-rhyme feel of "Darling, darling, doesn't have a problem, lying to herself because her liquor's top shelf" and how well it flows. 04 Million Dollar Man - Not a fan of this, by FAR the worst thing on the album for me. 10 Summertime Sadness - Beautiful and stunning. 10 This Is What Makes Us Girls - I like how she tends to push herself as a storyteller more than a singer sometimes, and this song is why, the story is so honest and heartbreaking. My favourites are always switching between National Anthem, Summertime Sadness and Born To Die... As you can tell, I'm still a bit of a loon for this album!

July 20, 201212 yr I'm so in love with 'Diet Mountain Dew' at the moment, it's just come out of nowhere and suddenly hit me.
July 24, 201212 yr Apparently this is being re-released, it'll be called 'Born To Die: Paradise Edition' and the following titles have been confirmed: - "Body Electric" - "In The Land of Gods and Monsters" - "Will You Still Love Me When I'm No Longer Young and Beautiful?" Obviously we've heard Body Electric (excited to hear a full studio version), the other two titles sound suitable Lana but the last one is a bit long!
July 24, 201212 yr Oh if she ditches the duds (there were alot!) and keeps the good stuff (the first 4 songs) this could get very interesting again. I used to hate re-releases but I've just come around to accept the fact that they exist. + I don't own a copy of this album so I don't have to buy it again. Edited July 24, 201212 yr by Atonement
August 8, 201212 yr In an interview, she hinted the first single from the re-release is called Blue Morning, and it's 'more rock and uptempo than anything I've released'. She also said she'll debut it at the VMAs, eep.
August 9, 201212 yr I've heard there's 7 :D Which is great, basically another EP added on really, I was worried it would be a pointless 2 or 3 tracks tacked on the end but the more Lana the better!

I am so excited!!! :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: I hope she can get another hit with the lead single from the re-release! I've already bought the standard edition in physical (and the 3 deluxe tracks on iTunes) but if there's 7 tracks then I can justify buying it again! :D

August 9, 201212 yr There should be much more anticipation for a brand new Lana single now, so granted it's decent, I'd imagine she could get her highest peaking song with it? ^_^ New Lana anything deserves a :w00t:
August 9, 201212 yr Yeah I'd (obviously) much prefer an EP sized re-release than two songs added to Born to Die. I've not really paid attention to her singles chart peaks but I'm assuming she's more of an album seller than singles.
August 9, 201212 yr She's had two #9 hits (Born To Die and Video Games), plus Blue Jeans peaked at #32 and National Anthem at #92 (:() so yeah more of an albums seller although Born To Die and especially Video Games had nice longevity.
