Got home from work just in time for Germany v Netherlands. ^_^ Really good game and the second Gómez goal was superb. Well deserved win for my home nation! I'll be happy with a draw with Denmark if it gets them through. Germany are going through regardless.

The Dutch played better in the second half after they scored, I do think its over for the dutch, just have to wait and see how Sunday night pans out, Germany seem to be the best team overall, they could go all the way.

Klose comes on if Gomez isn't playing well (in the first game he was literally just about to be substituted before he scored) and the other three start. Müller seemed pretty quiet last night.

That's the thing with Gomez though. He can be abysmal for a full game, but can come up with a goal out of nothing. He's really come on this year, I think last summer Bayern were not against the idea of selling him.

Croatia played a very entertaining match, after Italy scored in the first half they just fell to sleep, Croatia had more chances in the second half to score, I was hoping they net one in, that would have put Italy in danger of not qualifying. I love to see Spain and Croatia qualifying out of this group.

Going for a 1-0 win to Spain tonight, more out of hope than expectation. Fingers crossed that the Irish battle and make things difficult for them, they really can't afford to give away an early goal like they did against Croatia.

I'd rather play Spain than Croatia to be honest. I know it was only a friendly and Spain are terrible in friendlies but I could see us doing the same and getting a result again.

Italy v Croatia was a really good match, probably one of the best that I've seen in the tournament so far! Italy's goal was amazing, I didn't expect them to score straight from the free kick.

 

Spain v Ireland is also good, thus far! I'm hoping for at least one more goal from Spain though, preferably more.

For all Spain's domination, there's still only a goal in it. My 1-0 prediction may not have been as utterly ridiculous as I first thought.
