The relevance is that Michael Buble was promoting his seasonal album which is currently the 7th best selling of the year. People who like his track are less likely to buy the single and more likely to buy the album, especially physical albums as gifts going into the last two shopping weeks.

Michael Buble isn't a singles artist so its wrong to compare the two.

I wouldn't really call Leona a single artist either.

Obviously Michael Buble wouldn't benefit as much as Leona in the singles chart since, as you've said, he has an album to flog but the fact that he isn't even top 40 while Leona is in the top 5 suggests that it's a huge achievement on Leona's part.

will young??

Yes Will isn't from X factor but for the record he has 11 top 10 singles.

Any one with the bar things know how far behind olly n Coldplay leona is?

Combined Kworb popularity:

[01] 01. Coldplay - Paradise - 1.0000

[03] 02. Olly Murs - Dance With Me Tonight - 0.8323

[06] 03. Rihanna - We Found Love (feat. Calvin Harris) - 0.7083

[04] 04. Lloyd - Dedication to My Ex (Miss That) [feat. Andre 3000 & Lil Wayne] - 0.6808

[02] 05. T-Pain - 5 O'Clock (feat. Wiz Khalifa & Lily Allen) - 0.6527

[05] 06. Avicii - Levels (Radio Edit) - 0.6381

[**] 07. Leona Lewis - Hurt - 0.6341

[07] 08. Mariah Carey - All I Want for Christmas Is You - 0.6282

[08] 09. Ed Sheeran - Lego House - 0.4849

[09] 10. Drake - Take Care (feat. Rihanna) - 0.4263

Estimates using Kworb from half an hour ago when Leona was still #4:

Coldplay 100%

Olly 72%

Leona 66%

How ironic:

Forgive Me - #5

Run - #1

Collide - #4

Hurt - possibily #1?

Very Deja Vu for Leona.

Wow when i left here on friday coldplay were no5-10 now they are no1 BEFORE x-factor!!

Getting the sucess it deserves!!

#3 at best, she wont beat Coldplay after their performance tonight and the X Factor winner is a mammoth.

No it doesn't! He has an album out, and it is selling in blistering pace. Buble's singles usually (except from Haven't Met You Yet lately) do not sell much.

On the contrary Leona's album is not out yet and it is doubtfull whether the 'Hurt trio' will be included in her album or not. Leona is an album seller, but is doing really well with singles too.

I wouldn't really compare the two since they are completely different artists and Buble is promoting a seasonal album.

Anyone on the petition won't be downloading Nirvana until next Sunday - they aim to get the Christmas number-one, which X-Factor have picked up on; releasing it the week before. May begin to climb on iTunes during the week though.

Do you seriously believe X Factor chose to release the winner's single a week early because of this campaign?

It's being released a week before the Christmas chart because the final is a week earlier. And the final is a week earlier because Wembley is booked for next weekend.

I am shocked with the massive effect Leona Lewis has had, I expected it to peak at around #14-18 on iTunes and debuting around #20. It's had no airplay etc!

Yeah just a 10 million audience last night...

I know Lee, you really didnt expect this. I guess none of us did, just the power of Leona's live performances.

#2 now. Wow!

Even so such a big audience doesnt secure a big rise, songs have been performed on X Factor before and not done much, this is incredible to see such an amazing responce.

PLEASE don't beat Coldplay. Hearing Coldplay #1 on the big top 40 will be SOMETHING incredible, even if they can't get it on the official chart.
