"Breakn' A Sweat" is the track from his new EP which seems to be doing the best following his 4th place in Sound of 2012. Currently at #62 on iTunes and the EP "Bangarang" is at #3 on the albums!

I like, a lot.

'Right In' and 'Devil's Den' are the highlights of the EP
I just don't get it, he's horrible, nothing about his music is appealing at all. Beyond terrible, most of the time it's just noise for the sake of noise.
I think I'm turning sheep, I'm really getting into now  Breakin' A Sweat is brilliant!

Literally the worst thing in music right now, I just can't comprehend. Dubstep is dead already anyway.
Just heard 'Breakn' a Sweat'...first thing I've heard from him I think. HORRENDOUS.
damn h8rs

IKR.

We are the only ones who like this guy.

I have no interest to listen to any of his music. The whole THING seems very tacky.
A lot of people I know have loved him for ages and I STILL do not get the appeal, the only thing I think was good as a song was "First Of The Year" (which is great) but the rest makes it hard to take him seriously...
Haha, I was aware of From First To Last but hadn't bothered to check them out. Very weird to see him with different hair! Tbh I think him being in a hardcore band and then becoming a dubstep producer makes more sense than if he'd been a regular DJ before. With his brand of dubstep/brostep/whatever other crappy name you want to give it, it's very reliant on extreme sounds and musical harshness - in that way it's more similar to hardcore than other subgenres of dance.
I take it we're meant to be pretending this never happened as well?

EXACTLY!!! if someone makes music like that we can't rly rely on them to set the standard for quality can we...?

It's a past project, I quite like the fact that he's experimented with different musical styles.

"Bangarang" is his best EP to date I reckon. Certainly better than "My Name Is Skrillex" and "More Monsters and Sprites", I think I prefer it to "Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites" as well.

"Breakn' A Sweat" looks like it'll become his first UK top 40 hit over the weekend, while "Kyoto" is currently at 74 in the US. The title track is a complete smash as well.

I heard 'summit' the other day, and have hardly stopped playing it since. even if there's not much ellie on it, I still find it fantastic, it's not got any of them weird dubstep noises in it which is what tends to put me off the genre.

That's how I started out with Skrillex! Summit is rather fantastic. I ended up checking out the entirety of Bangarang and it's very solid but maybe not for you. I don't know if anything else on Bangarang is for you, everything has "them weird dubstep noises" that you dislike but I would say it's worth checking out.
