January 1, 201213 yr Author Relatively, they have sold 7 milion WW in like 15 years, Miranda has sold at least 4 million in the US alone in 6 years. #stanwarsftw
January 1, 201213 yr Author Carrie pulls it back, she's the biggest selling singer of all time in Papa New Guinea.
January 1, 201213 yr Nightwish > Miranda Lambert. Most certainly -_- :kink: Great to see Eric Saade and Nadine Beiler make an appearance!
January 1, 201213 yr Author The people who can be this side of > with Miranda on the other are Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Lady Gaga and Rihanna -_- :P
January 7, 201213 yr Author Continuing at a snail's pace :P 80 From the album: Our Version Of Events Personal chart peak: 8 UK chart peak: 2 Personal chart run: (33-31-34-37-xx-8-10-10-13-25-36-48-65) Emeli is one of the big names likely to make it big in 2012, and this was her solo debut which offered her a taste of success when it peaked at 2. This brilliantly delves into 90s R&B/garage with conviction, it really sounds like it could've been out in the late 90s yet still so fresh! 79 From the album: Invinsible Personal chart peak: 3 UK chart peak: 63 Personal chart run: (35-xx-1pl-xx-36-37-30-27-27-25-3-6-15-28-36-44-52-65) Serial collaborator Skylar Grey next, with her solo debut single Invisible. Maybe a bit low here considering it's peak on my personal chart, but it got a bit boring. Still, this is a beautiful alt-pop track that really should've kicked off something big for Skylar, not flopped in a paltry number 63 :( 78 From the album: Nothing But The Beat Personal chart peak: 6 UK chart peak: 3 Personal chart run: (6-12-14-17-23-23-25-30-34)*while chart was top 40 MORE PENIS :o But tbh without Nicki Minaj this track isn't anywhere as good. Her frantically delivered verse is definitely the highlight, although it must be said this is still one of his better tracks. Brilliant summer tune! 77 From the album: The Night The Sun Came Up Personal chart peak: 2 UK chart peak: 37 Personal chart run: (4-2-9-20-27-32-57-70-68-74) Yes, a number 2 so early in this countdown :o But this really was a one week wonder for me! I do love it still, hence why it's here now, but it doesn't warrant being a number 2. Anyway, this is a great European sounding 2nd single from Dev, she owes something to a certain Ms Stan methinks.... 76 From the album: Young, Foolish, Happy Personal chart peak: 3 UK chart peak: 10 Personal chart run: (4-3-4-6-7-13-24-37-48-61)*still charting Another top 3 now! This hung around longer than ITD, but nonetheless not a great chart run! I do love this - yes, Pixie is taking pop back about 10 years in a time when the likes of Gaga are re-inventing it, but this is just the sort of decidedly dated urban imbued track I can really get on board! 75 From the album: Loud Personal chart peak: 5 UK chart peak: 15 Personal chart run: (1pl-xx-12-12-10-11-11-5-8-15-25-39-45-47-52-60-64) Kicking off the top 75 is the final single from Rihanna's Loud album. It was never really a favourite of mine, it was kind of anthemic at times but then at others it was just ugh, but it slowly grew on me and I really liked it then. The sample is a big part of why I love it though! She was in such a rush with the first single from her new album (more on that later) however that this just got a rushed live video :( 74 From the album: + (year end number 19) Personal chart peak: 21 UK chart peak: 3 Personal chart run: (38-38-37-39-1pl-33-xx-31-29-21-23-23-25-27-38-41-45-51-55-63-72) This really was a criminal low peaker. I don't know quite why it didn't get higher but hey-ho - it had a great chart run for such a peak! I feel a bit of a sheep suddenly liking him when I wasn't sure when my friend (who's a massive stan) forced him on me before, but with great 'acousti-hop' tracks like this, who can blame me? 73 From the album: On Your Radar (year end number 5) Personal chart peak: 3 UK chart peak: 8 Personal chart run: (3-6-6-9-13-23-27)*while chart was top 40 Well it has to said that I'm a Sats stan, so it may surprise some that this is so low. Obviously I do love it else it wouldn't be here but I have to say this is in my bottom 3 singles from them (along with Just Can't Get Enough and If This Is Love, both of which I do still really like). It did show signs of a new grown-up dancey sound though, which came to give them an amazing single (more on that later) and album! 72 From the album: Animal/Cannibal Personal chart peak: 7 UK chart peak: 1 Personal chart run: (18-15-16-7-10-8-12-14-15-16-11-19-29-38)*while chart was top 40 While this had a very good peak and steady chart run, this falls slightly short and ends up lower than I guess it should. It kind of tired on me as the year passed, especially with the superior Blow being released (HOW did it flop? :(). It's great she got a UK number 1 from it though, even if it was a bit of a non-number 1! 71 From the album: Killer Love (Deluxe) (year end number 10) Personal chart peak: 1 UK chart peak: Personal chart run: (7-1-2-4-6-13-14-18-26-40-67) The first number 1 to appear! This was a definite one week wonder for me and fell very quickly. Maybe if it had been steady in the UK chart (rather than a rushed release with an XF perfomance) I may have paid more attention and loved it longer, but it all just felt so rushed. And now her US career is down the shitter (Crowgate)...
January 7, 201213 yr Oh yes, they definitely can, but Nightwish can be this side of > all of them :PNot as long as Kelly Clarkson's around! :P Jonjo's Niece > Kelly Clarkson > Life > Everything Else. :)
January 7, 201213 yr Jonjo go suck a potato. We R Who We R <3 I love this, aldo loving Cheers, Notorious and Try With Me. WELL DONE.
January 7, 201213 yr Author This countdown is so amazing it manages to please even Grant :o I am very proud of my chart making skills.
January 7, 201213 yr To be fair, I was already pleased. I have been on Jason Bateman sites all afternoon.
January 7, 201213 yr Author 70 Glee Cast - Rumour Has It/Someone Like You From the album: The Music, Volume 7 Personal chart peak: 2 UK chart peak: 35 Personal chart run: (2-10-11-17-23) Another short lived top 2 hit now, in the form of the best song of the season from my favourite TV show Glee. It's not that I went off of this that quickly, it's just that even though I do chart all Glee tracks, they have limited exposure and so I just always end up having them fall far too qucikly for some reason. Anyway this is a brilliant mash-up of two of my fave 21 tracks, and it features Queen Naya Riveria Of Life on vocals. What's not to love? 69 From the album: Letters (year end number 17) Personal chart peak: 3 UK chart peak: 189 (:manson:) Personal chart run: (18-18-11-3-10-8-16-20-22)*still charting REGINA RAGES. And probably points out the fact that Matt is indeed at 69 :kink: This was Matt's 2nd single, a wonderful pop/rock anthem with a soaring chorus that was one of my highlights of Letters, sadly the public didn't pick it up and it limped just inside the top 200 :( Thanks to manic DS loons however, this managed to win the accolade of Best SIngle in the Guardian's end of year poll. 68 Britney Spears - 'Til The World Ends From the album: Femme Fatale (year end number 11) Personal chart peak: 5 UK chart peak: 21 Personal chart run: (5-9-11-16-8-10-20-27-33-34-38) And now for another end of year topper! Sadly not an official chart or anything, but Digital Spy made it their number 1 track of 2011.This continued the great era with a 2nd brilliant single in a row - especially the remix which features Nicki Minaj and Ke$ha! Sadly this was a flop era for Britney, and the on-air/on-sale release of this really didn't help things, as it limped in at a paltry 21. 67 From the album: The Unforgiving Personal chart peak: 7 UK chart peak: N/A Personal chart run: (7-10-12-12-14-16-18-22-27-33) Now for another Regina fave :P This Dutch symphonic rock band were actually brought to my attention by the man himself, and I did actually very much enjoy their latest album The Unforgiving, especially this track. It was an instant hit on my personal chart, has a much more 80s sound and is even nearly slightly disco, something that would usually never in a million years be said about these guys! 66 From the album: When The Sun Goes Down (year end number 18) Personal chart peak: 10 UK chart peak: 51 Personal chart run: (33-30-32-31-xx-10-10-16-23-22-23-24-27-33-33-37) Teen sensation Selena Gomez (and 'The Scene' but no-one cares about them :P) next, with the lead single from her brilliant 3rd album in as many years! She may churn out albums as fast as Rihanna, but she always gets it right. Despite the album having a wholly more grown up, dance sound than her previous releases, this stays true to her roots - a simple, catchy teen-pop song about issues with not thinking you're good enough. Cliched yes, but she pulls it off! 65 From the album: Cinderella's Eyes (year end number 25) Personal chart peak: 1 UK chart peak: 27 Personal chart run: (1-6-9-11-18-26-34) Another ill-fated number 1, this time from Nicola Roberts with her 2nd entry in this countdown. I was always excited for solo material from Nicola, and she definitely delivered with this quirky pop-rap debut. It did get rather annoying a bit quickly but aside from that a fabulous debut! 64 From the album: Talk That Talk (year end number 10) Personal chart peak: 2 UK chart peak: 1 Personal chart run: (2-2-6-7-13-16-20-26-21-31-42-47-58) Maybe a shock to see yet another song from one of my favourite artists so low, but honestly this just has to be the most overrated song of the year (aside from Moves Like Jagger which I also do quite like). I do really really like it but it's nowhere near her best for me, euphoric production from Calvin Harris definitely lifts this track up a few notches, it's just missing a special something for me... 63 From the album: Teenage Dream (2010 year end number 2) Personal chart peak: 5 UK chart peak: 8 Personal chart run: (12pl-9-6-4-11-13-14-25-35)*when chart was top 40 Teenage Dream is an extremely great album, so I was glad to see Katy milk it, because the singles are all so worthy! This suffered a bit from being released late, but it still did OK in the charts and got Katy a 5th US number 1 in a row, tying with Michael Jackson's record with his album Bad. It's kinda sad she had to resort to a 2nd cheap remix (following Kanye being tacked on E.T.) to get this accolade but meh :P This is a fun, classic Katy pop/rock track which made a great single! 62 From the album: Body Talk Personal chart peak: 13 UK charrt peak:55 Personal chart run: (20-13-13-15-17-23-25-40)*when chart was top 40) Robyn is possibly the best Scandi artist of all time imo, and this is yet another glorious bittersweet electro-ballad from her, something she does amazingly. It's not quite up there with the likes of the heartwrenching Be Mine! and the classic WIth Every Heartbeat, but I'm so glad that it got a release which coupled it with the brilliant, simplistic video which features Robyn just dancing. 61 Aura Dione - Geronimo From the album: Before The Dinosaurs Personal chart peak: 2 UK chart peak: N/A (not released, 1 in Denmark) Personal chart run: (41-30-26-2-8-15-29-39-47) Yet another victim of 'one week syndrome'! This was entered by Klumincan Republic (Klumzee) to BJSC a couple of months back, and was one of the hot favourites. This showed the song was a big grower as initally it just passed me by when I noticed it pop up in a few charts beforehand. Anyway, this is a breezy slice of folky pop that sounds oddly like Shakira mixed with Lady Gaga, great stuff!
January 7, 201213 yr LOTS of cum worthy songs here. Starlight especially. Amazing is his next single btw, gonna flop too probably  Last Friday Night is amazing too, as is Till The World Ends. Sinead is just amazing  Sharon looks so good in the video for it.
January 7, 201213 yr Author Amazing? Oh, not fond of that :( If Starlight reached 189 then I don't think Amazing even deserves top 1000  But as it's Matt I hope it somehow manages to not flop!
January 9, 201213 yr I like a lot of songs in your chart. I like some of them a lot and others, not as much. But I like most of them. This was to be expected and I am expecting you to end it on a high.
January 10, 201213 yr Author It will end on a high :P A very high high. --- This is going to be continuing probably tonight or tomorrow, I had my first exam today so I've been kinda busy with that for the past few days which is why I was out of action with this!
