I don't get why DEV is in it as well, T-Pain on Koda Kumi's new album is weird as well...

 

DEV is featured in literally EVERYTHING though. From the likes of JLS to Eric Saade to Far East Movement and now to Girls' Generation..

Should be good though :P

 

Talking of Girls' Generation, I was just listening to Seohyun sing Stuff Like That There, she's incredible :heart: Of course she has nothing on Kelly Clarkson's version on the first American Idol (I was watching it on YT and people were going on about 'thumbs up if Seohyun brought you here' so I googled 'seohyun stuff like that there' and found her singing it on tour), but she does it really well!

Seohyun is good yes. Kelly Clarkson is better at it though, she just belts out these power vocals. Although that said Gaga > Kelly Clarkson :D

Kelly Clarkson > everyone else.

 

She is to me what Girls' Generation are to you :P

Hurricane Venus is absolutely amazing, as is the whole album that came from :wub:

Anyway one of my favourite J-pop stars of all time Tomoko Kawase will bring back her Tommy February6 alter-ego next year. Super-cute 80s-idol influenced techno-pop. What's not to love? :heart:

 

It's rather pleasant actually! :o Never heard of this Tommy February6 before.

 

As for Perfume, their best song imo is Nee. Laser Beam was boring after the 10th play :(

I'm so over JPop lately. I find myself buying new Ayu & Kuu albums just because it'd be a shame if my collection wasn't complete and for no other reason...

 

I still listen to my old albums all the time. But new music... not so interested, which of course means I don't go looking for new Jpop as often so miss the songs I might end up liking and yea... vicious circle.

 

I think the last Jpop song I *loved* is probably... Namie Amuro - Naked.

Namie's NAKED is a boring song imo... I loved her collaboration album though.

 

Kuu's new album is interesting as well so hence why I am ordering all 4 editions, one for my collection and 2 because the covers are too awesome :D

In my opinion, Kuu's 4 TIMES single was just catastrophically shite. Didn't even like the Jessie J song!

 

I did like Ai wo Tomenaide though. Don't think I've heard her most recent single...

 

Also, I used to love going to Jpopcentral but I hate that Yuku thing it's on now :(

So I was right... You were from JPopMusic :P. I'm guessing you know me then as I too was on it :P

 

You can hang around here, I'll update the news on Kuu, Ayu, Namie etc. You like Kana as well? :)

 

The Yuku thing is bizarre to get around but I got used to it lol.
