December 26, 201113 yr I'm not sure I've actually heard that one. Instead of going backwards I started at the beginning. Their first two albums I found were completely unlistenable and it didn't seem to get much better so just stopped, although to be fair I do quite like Leaf House and We Tigers which so I should possibly listen to it. Looking at their discography, I've definitely heard their first four albums, don't think I've listened to Song Tungs and am not sure on Feels. I think I got bored of listening to them TBH. :( As long as you like some, I didn't really expect it to be the most popular #1! I just don't get most of Spirit They've Gone, except for Alvin Row and Chocolate Girl which are both wonderful pop songs that aren't that inaccessible, just weird enough to be interesting. Let's not go anywhere near Danse Manatee. Campfire Songs is a bit of a dud to me too. I'm sure most would agree that Sung Tongs is where they start getting (consistently) good! I've listened to the following: 51 M83 'Hurry Up, We're Dreaming' - Despite loving Saturdays = Youth, I've only listened to this once, and even then I wasn't really concentrating. I haven't listened to Los Campesinos!' album yet, even though they're my most listened to band ever. I'm a bit weird like that. 49 James Blake 'James Blake' - Every track on this grew on me at different times! I scattered my grandma's ashes on Lindisfarne so it has DEEP PERSONAL MEANING. or something. 42 Tennis 'Cape Dory' - I'd certainly agree with the 'pleasant' description. There's absolutely nothing on there that made me want to listen to it twice. So I haven't. 38 Tune-Yards 'Who Kill' - Good good. 31 Active Child 'You Are All I See' - I've loved this recently, but have you heard Call Me Tonight? It's an iTunes exclusive / bonus track / bootleg of some sort, and it provides something different, which is exactly what the album was missing! QpeJHHngzas 30 jj 'Kills' - There's something so painfully shit about them, but I haven't been able to stop listening to this throughout the year <3 24 Gauntlet Hair 'Gauntlet Hair' - Pleasant but more interesting than Tennis. 20 Washed Out 'Within And Without' - It doesn't go anywhere near the perfection of Life of Leisure, but it's one of my favourites of the year nonetheless. 19 Foster The People 'Torches' 18 Gang Gang Dance 'Eye Contact' - Expansive, ambitious, sprawling, cohesive. Declaring this my favourite of the year was an easy decision :wub:15 Elbow 'Build a Rocket Boys!' ...and I've not actually heard a single album from your top 15. Woe is me.
