December 18, 201113 yr Thanks Rob, Wherever You Are is gorgeous, I'm so pleased to see somebody else liking it :D As is Love Is Christmas so make sure you do listen to it! Not sure where Paradise will go from here, possibly climb or might stick around, it's not going to fall I don't think... Moves Like Jagger is excellent and will definitely be a contender for the top five in my EOY chart - which will begin to be posted on Xmas Eve I think :D And nope, the Little Boots song isn't a Stevie Wonder cover! Yeah just heard Love is Christmas. It's nice enough. Cool shall be looking forward to the EOY chart although I think who's your number 1  because I'd be suprised it if i's not otherwise.

You may well yet be surprised, my top four of the year is set in stone but they're all very close and I'm still having trouble putting them in order :o My EOY chart will start on week commending 27th December. So do join along :D Will do.
December 19, 201113 yr Thanks Ghosty! 1. Haha, it quite possibly is, it was by far my most played song of the week and when it came down to it I decided that in fact it was indeed my favourite song of the week too - I'd be very happy to see it as the xmas #1! 3. Since A Moment Like This in my opinion, which was my 2006 xmas #1! 6. I know what you mean, the second half is euphoric and brilliant, I usually listen to it from the two minute onwards mark - the first half is definitely very sombre. 10. It really was wasn't it, I've never cared for Coldplay before but this era is excellent - I love the whole colour scheme of everything. 16. Same, it's a very strong album from start to finish actually - if I had a top 75 still I'd have charted about 4 or 5 more songs from it :D The Feels Like Heaven cover is lovely, more upbeat than the rest too - Dario G had a top 3 in my chart in 2002/3 (?) with a cover of the same song! 20. The album's definitely grown on me, it clicked massively when I saw them live to be honest, they sang everything apart from White Lies. Will definitely be amongst my top 20 albums of the year. 21. It seems quite possible doesn't it, I expect I'd be too over it by the time the next contest comes around to consider sending it but I'm sure it would do well... 22. It's gorgeous isn't it, took me a few listens actually, moreso than Video Games which I found very instant. The album is so far my most anticipated of 2012, well unless Delta FINALLY gets hers out... 37. Indeed! I already prefer it to Shake! 40. It's pleasant but I doubt it will go much further for me... 01 - I'd be happy to see it get to Xmas #1 too. I'm still waiting on the single to arrive, but hopefully I'll receive it this week sometime! 03 - I think I agree. I quite liked Hallelujah too, but Cannonball is slightly better I think. 10 - This era is very good indeed! I have liked a few Coldplay singles in the past, like Yellow, The Scientist, Speed Of Sound, Fix You, Violet Hill and Viva La Vida, but I've never bought their albums. I might get this latest one though! 16 - Not sure I ever heard the Dario G version! I only know it well thanks to Fiction Factory and Urban Cookie Collective. 20 - Cool! Were they good live? 21 - It would be interesting to compare how well it does with Wall Of Shame. I imagine My Crown would score better as it has more crossover appeal. 22 - Video Games did absolutely nothing for me on first listen, which is rather embarrassing  . I think now that I've become more of a fan of her music, subsequent singles will click quicker with me. 2012 is looking a little bland albums wise at the moment - Steps may hopefully release some new material and there's Lacuna Coil's new album, but apart from those, Lana and the Goldfrapp Best Of, I can't think of anything else! We should hopefully be getting albums from Timoteij, Danny and Loreen though, fingers crossed!

The way it was selling in HMV, I'm sure it will be xmas #1, I bought the CD single earlier before I started work! 3. Hallelujah got to #21 in my chart iirc! Matt, Joe, Leon, Steve and Shayne didn't chart  10. I wouldn't listen to any of those out of choice apart from Violet Hill, although can appreciate that they are 'classic' songs. I've always found them so dull and pretentious but they seem to have livened and brightened up all of a sudden  16. I tracked it down probably because Dream To Me was a #1 in my chart in 2001, very nice version but I like all versions of that song, it's another Love U More situation - too good to be ruined  20. Very good, I was surprised. Even if the vocals weren't always amazing the energy, visuals and general performances certainly made up for it! Plus I won tickets in a Twitter competition so didn't even have to pay to go! 21. Oh I'm sure it would finish top ten for certain, possibly higher! It's similar in a way to Caroline Jonsson's By My Side and that managed top five - that was a sort of rocky/Schlager mix too... 22. Nothing to be embarrassed about, plenty of songs take absolutely ages to grow on me, but when they do click it's always great  Indeed, I can only think of about two or three non MF related albums that I want in 2012 so far...

I can't believe how much of a lead they have! 03 - My X Factor winner chart history: #46 - Steve Brookstein - Against All Odds #43 - Shayne Ward - That's My Goal #06 - Leona Lewis - A Moment Like This #23 - Alexandra Burke - Hallelujah #39 - Matt Cardle - When We Collide Leon & Joe failed to chart and Little Mix are yet to enter. Leona's song was clearly my favourite of the lot! 16 - Dream To Me was awesome! 20 - Oh, well done! I read Oh My! were supposed to be supporting The Sats, did they perform? If so, what were they like? 21 - Hmm, I may have to consider sending My Crown then :kink: .

I was so obsessed with Leona at the time, I'm sure her singing the phone book could have been #1 in my chart, I voted for her every week during X Factor and I never usually vote in those sort of shows at all! 16. Agreed, I even prefer it to their big UK hit Sunchyme, one of my favourites of 2001 for sure! That and Safri Duo's Played-A-Live (The Bongo Song) were simultaneous obsessions of mine  20. They were and they did! They weren't bad, better than the other support acts but at the same time they didn't suit a big venue like that at all, it just seemed like two girls talking their way through songs and the non-singles that they did weren't up to much... 21. Maybe you should, give you an excuse to chart it higher than #7 anyway
