December 21, 201113 yr So Joe Mcelderry's Classic has sold 225k and Matt Cardle has sold just 193k. I know Classic was out first but still... who would have predicted this last year? Wonder if Letters will catch up?
December 21, 201113 yr Author So Jagger will make 1 million before the end of the year.... Well, not him personally. Strange though, since AFAIK the Stones never had a million-seller of their own...

Wonder if Letters will catch up? Depends how Letters holds up really. Classic is still selling 6k plus a week for a while now outside the top 40. I think it will take a while but may very well go Platinum in the end. Joe has these O2 gigs over Christmas that may help shift a few more copies. Matt has a third single I believe. I'm a bit surprised at that though tbh.

December 22, 201113 yr So we should have 21 500k sellers by the end of the year, the current top 18, Military Wives and I expect Alexandra Stan and One Direction will inch past the marker in the next 9 days. The most before was 20 in 1998 or 1999 wasn't it, I never thought we'd see that sort of thing happen again!
December 22, 201113 yr So we most likely won't have the entire top 40 albums over 300k (again), hopefully we can beat last year's 35 though.
December 22, 201113 yr So we should have 21 500k sellers by the end of the year, the current top 18, Military Wives and I expect Alexandra Stan and One Direction will inch past the marker in the next 9 days. Beat you to it by 3 days :kink: WMYB should definitely sneak over 500k and Mr. Saxobeat might as well with the gift card boost. Military Wives will probably also pass 500k so that's 21 over the 500k mark for the year :D -x- Hopefully 'Earthquake' will go platinum in the long run :D What are the total sales of 'Pass Out' looking like now vidcapper? Also, have Coldplay shown up in the C+ top 100? 7 songs over 800k and Military Wives will inevitably provide an 8th. Incredible. All of them bar maybe Pitbull and Bruno will probably pass the million mark by the end of 2012 too. Pitbull, Bruno, Adele [RITD] and Ed Sheeran could all eventually reach the million mark as well, so we could end up with 10 million sellers from this year - not too bad, not too bad. 'Set Fire To The Rain' should hang onto the year end top 30 despite never going top 10 (probably #28/9 being overtaken by Military Wives and maybe Labrinth)! Have any other non-top-10 hits finished so high in the year-end chart? I presume if any have it'll be one of I'm Yours, 5,6,7,8 or Numb / Encore. Edited December 22, 201113 yr by Michael Bubré
December 22, 201113 yr Coldplay's album is going to do much better than the last one - which is a pity as the last one was better.
December 22, 201113 yr Coldplay's album is going to do much better than the last one - which is a pity as the last one was better. I doubt it, VLVODAAHF has sold around 1.4m to date - Mylo Xyloto should sell 150k+ this week and pass the million mark in early 2012 but I don't think it'll be able to sell another 400k+ on top of that. Unless 'Princess Of China' does a lot for it.
December 22, 201113 yr 'Set Fire To The Rain' should hang onto the year end top 30 despite never going top 10 (probably #28/9 being overtaken by Military Wives and maybe Labrinth)! Have any other non-top-10 hits finished so high in the year-end chart? I presume if any have it'll be one of I'm Yours, 5,6,7,8 or Numb / Encore. Numb/Encore's sales have been spread over 6 or 7 years - and even when it was in the chart it was split over 04 and 05. I probably made the Top 100 in each of those years. 5678 was split over 97 and 98.
December 22, 201113 yr Author Gutting to see lmfao and jessie will get 970k, so close to 4 millionsellers What's the prob - they'll get there early next year. Could I request the positions for Matt Cardle and Maroon 5 in the albums? 53 & 71 What are the total sales of 'Pass Out' looking like now vidcapper? All of them bar maybe Pitbull and Bruno will probably pass the million mark by the end of 2012 too. PO ~764k Coldplay - Paradise YTD - could have sworn I'd already answered that somewhere. Anyway... 77th YTD, though they would be #40 with all sales counted! As for potential million-sellers, don't be so sure about Military Wives - they may shift 575k first week, but quite possibly only 175k on week 2 - that'd still leave them 250k short - and sales of these sort of singles trail off *very* fast...
December 22, 201113 yr Is there a sales update for All I Want For Christmas Is You? I know Midweek posted sales a few weeks ago...
December 22, 201113 yr Could I please have total sales for the following: Bruno Mars 'Just the Way You Are' Eminem 'Love the Way You Lie' Rihanna 'Only Girl (in the World)' Matt Cardle 'When We Collide' Cee Lo Green 'Forget You' Katy Perry 'Firework' Thank you :D
