Earthquake highly unlikely to outsell Pass Out then, didn't realise PO had got that high :o I thought it was only a bit over 700k.

Isn't it because it was not eligible for the Radio One top 40, for it's first few weeks? So, those sales will be missed out. According to my old mate Mike Robinson, it's only sold 325,000 not 345,000. So, who knows!

Fortunately OZAP posted a precise figure for their ineligible sales a while back.

I dare say some of you have speculated on the accuracy of my estimates?

 

To clear this up - when I get the chance to compare them against real figures posted by Music Week/OZAP, I find that I am almost invariably within 0.25% for the highest figures, out to 0.5% for ones further down the chart.

 

This makes sense when you think about it - higher sellers are more likely to have precise figures stated than lower ones - thus more precision is likely.

 

 

I'm guessing 'Nothing's Real but Love' will overtake 'Run for Your Life''s sales this week? :D

Not necessarily - Matt's figure of 71k was as of 3 weeks ago, when it dropped out of the T200 - with 4 more weeks sales including this week's, there is probably around 2.5k or so to add.

REALLY hope Ellie can hold onto top 40 for the year end chart! Doubt she will though :(
