Given it's the big rush of sales the iTunes will be updated with interruptions. Some feeds are updated, some aren't... kworb still can't get the new pop bars!

I'm going to use this as an excuse to not have to eat my feet - I said if they're still #1 at the end of the week, I didn't specify 'chart week' :kink:

Only in the USA isn't it? I mean, only Americans would put one of the days of the weekend at the START of the week.

I thought it was the other way around, American usage was that weeks started on Monday and here in the UK on Sundays? Not that anyone is really expecting you to self-mutilate anyway!

Per Wikipedia (the greatest source on the internet, naturally), only Canada, USA and Mexico are listed as using Sunday as the first day of the week. It doesn't specify what the UK 'officially' uses but it says 'most of Europe' under Monday and I've certainly never heard anyone referring to Sunday as the firstd ay of the week so I'd assume the UK is included in that.

Why does my feed never want to update when Coldplay climb to #1 :lol: It took hours for my feed to admit they were #1 when they first got there!

 

Let's hope sales of Military Wives' CD collapse enough for Coldplay to somehow go to #1 this week :P If not they could be in with a shot next week after all, I really wasn't expecting the gift card effect to help them so much.

Do you think it will be a massive gain? I think MWC will sell alright on cd this week - maybe 50k cds and 30k on downloads. Coldplay will do 50-55k this week and maybe 65k next week which depending on MWC could get them to no1? Think overall sales will be massive but the no1 sales will be low enough!

I hope to see The Vaccines back in the top 100 with 'If You Wanna' after their brilliant TOTP performance :D

There's no way they'll drop below Coldplay next week unless Coldplay are selling LOADS, that was my wishful thinking speaking again :kink: I do think the Wives could possibly be in trouble next week though. I could see their sales pattern going something like 600k - 250k - 50k.

 

On the subject of Coldplay, I'm surprised they weren't on TOTP. It'd be the perfect way to close the promo campaign for Paradise.

:lol: You wish, that would have got them to no1.....remember they performed christmas lights on TOTPs last xmas day, was gutted because a X-Factor performance could have made them xmas n o1 instead of a poorish no13 peak for such a wondeful xmas song in this era!
