If someone released a song for 59p in January it would get to number one with ease. Coldplay should get a week. Lloyd maybe as well.

Jessie #41 with 'Domino'. Is there a reason it's climbing? There's no radio backing + no video

It's such a generic song :/

lol. It's got lots of radio airplay, from stations like Capital, which must be why it's climbing.

It's generic by Jessie J's standards, but I don't think it's that generic overall. Not "Down For Whatever" or "Fight For You" levels of generic anyway.

YDO's video should be dropping soon. Def Jam should wait until the start of the new year and then it would probably let it jump into the top 3, hopefully.

Take care will probably be in the top 10 around them times too, once again, hopefully. The video for Drake's 2nd/3rd US single was Released yesterday.

"The Motto" was released yesterday, i love Drake but all his videos are rubbish
James Morrison & Jessie J hopefully looking at a top 40 hit this week/next week - if the 59p reduction holds and the 'gift card' effect has an impact, it could definitely scrape a week or two inside the top 40 officially - would just add to the impressive 2011 discography for Jessie J: 02-01-09-16-08-48.

James Morrison should've released "Slave To The Music" as the second single... I'm sure it would've gone Top 10 (Top 3 if it was the first single off the album, like it was in mainland Europe).

I think Coldplay might get number one next week, what a way to start 2011 that would be

23. Alex Day - Forever Yours

26. The Wanted - Warzone

29. Stacey Solomon - Driving Home For Christmas

33. Olly Murs - Heart Skips A Beat

34. James Morrison & Jessie J - Up

43. Jessie J - Domino

45. Lmfao - Party Rock Anthem

65. Beyonce - Best Thing I Never Had

69. Alexandra Stan - Get Back (Asap)

78. Rihanna - S&M

88. Leona Lewis - Hurt (OUCH)

89. Pixie Lott - All About Tonight

121. The Saturdays - All Fired Up

I hope Gotye flops. It's terrible and I really do not see the fuss with it, at all!

WTF is a 'Gotye'?

Nah, it'll be Military Wives again - at this rate they could stay #1 on iTunes for the whole of next week as well and that's only a small fraction of its sales :(

Belgian-born Australian indie singer who's releasing his single 'Somebody That I Used To Know' featuring Kimbra on the 1st of January. Google is your friend :P I can't see it challenging for #1, at least not straight away (maybe later if it picks up support). I expect Michael Kiwanuka and Taio Cruz will enter higher. Might even only be the fourth highest new entry if The Maccabees' new one does okay (their last lead single went top 40). That may be wishful thinking though. Pelican

So he's released the music video for the 3rd single, but hasn't even shot one for the 2nd single yet! I love how he just doesn't care! He said in an interview a few weeks ago that he's hoping to shoot Make Me Proud in the "holidays", which I guess means Christmas time in the US (i.e. round about now).

I heard the Gotye song ages ago (well, to be honest, I think EVERYBODY heard it ages ago ) because I saw it high on iTunes in other countries, so I listened to it out of curiousity. I hope it's a hit, if only because it's so different.

I'd say there is about 5% chance of 'Somebody That I Used to Know' not being a hit.

I don't think it'll peak on its first week. I can see it having a chart run similar to that of L.I.F.E.G.O.E.S.O.N./Pumped Up Kicks but maybe peaking higher.

Flo Rida is now only 9% behind 'Little Mix', compared to 21% 24 hours ago. At this rate we'll have him at #4 tomorrow at very most.
Hopefully Cher's "Want U Back" will start climbing tomorrow after it's video premiere! :D

The legendary Cher's comeback single? :w00t: Wait... oh :nocheer:

WTF is a 'Gotye'?

Oh well, I guess it's doomed, because you're very much the target market. It's very Radio 2 :(

Just because I don't know it *yet*, doesn't mean I won't like it when I do... ;)

Fair enough, you should check it out. Reminds me of Sting (in a good way). I look forward to hearing local radio DJs trying to pronounce his name :kink:

Not keen on it - I only normally like such songs when the artist is female...

Is Kimbra the same girl that was used in BJSC with Settle Down

'Wherever You Are' is behaving very erratically. It doesn't seem to be able to decide if it's gaining rapidly or decreasing rapidly. Currently the former but it keeps switching between the two.

Lou Monte has shot back up to 78% (well, he was at 80% but Military Wives are pulling away again -_-), but as Chris doesn't have a show tomorrow it won't get any more boosts. I expect it'll fall quite rapidly tomorrow.

The Pogues nearly with 2 entries top 30 again, mariah up to 25 again and chris rea shooting up to 33 as the big xmas drive home begins lol. Slade, wizzard and wham nearing the top 40 again. Should get a few of them in the chart on Sunday!
