December 25, 201113 yr That's hardly important, it's not one of the biggest albums of the year and this poll is hardly trying to find the 'best' album if PJ Harvey, Wild Beasts and Bon Iver (for instance, I could go on) are absent. Well as you say Best rarely = Biggest seller. surely you can't rate an album if you've never listened to it. :P
December 25, 201113 yr Well as you say Best rarely = Biggest seller. surely you can't rate an album if you've never listened to it. :P I wasn't trying to. The poll could either be a proper poll for 'Best Album' as in the most critically lauded albums of the year, or 'Best-Selling Album'. Will doesn't really fit into either.

December 25, 201113 yr it's one of the best selling albums of the year.... Then why omit "Christmas", "No More Idols" or "High Flying Birds"?

Hailed by so many as pop album of the year. http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=132408

December 25, 201113 yr 01. Bruno Mars 'Doo-Wops & Hooligans'[Favourite!] --- 02. Lady GaGa 'Born This Way' 03. Adele '21' --- 04. Will Young 'Echoes' 05. Coldplay 'Mylo Xyloto' --- 06. Amy Winehouse 'Lioness: Hidden Treasures' --- 07. Florence & The Machine 'Ceremonials' 'Doo-Wops & Hooligans' is heads and shoulders above everything else for me. GaGa and Adele's efforts were very good to start with, but I soon got bored of them both. Will and Coldplay offer surprsingly listenable albums, after years of having no interest in either act. Amy Winehouse I haven't heard yet, but I'm sure I'll give it a listen at least once in the future. Florence I haven't heard either. But I have no intention to. Her voice annoys the living shit out of me!
December 25, 201113 yr Mylo Xyloto as its a great album...and its the only one I've listened to out of the choices :kink:
December 26, 201113 yr I know the Winehouse album has sold well but it's partly for charity and they are how should I put it, largely 'heaven' sales. It's basically a left overs album. Very strange nomination by the OP, I'm not surprised it's doing the worst, surprised even two people picked it tbh. Will Young, not heard it, it's probably decent but a strange choice when there were albums by Jessie J, Ed Sheeran and Olly Murs. The Bruno Mars album was actually released last year, bit of an ill conceived mess this thread really. Adele 1st Florence 2nd out of that lot. My albums of the year are: 1st Famous first words - Viva Brother 2nd In the morning - James Vincent McMorrow 3rd 21 - Adele 4th In case you didn't know - Olly Murs 5th Ceremonials - Florence & the machine
