December 29, 201113 yr From the releases I know of Jan 2nd The Maccabees - Pelican - I fear this might miss the Top 40 Michael Kiwanuka - Home Again - Not sure where this'll debut initially, but it has a great chance of Top 5 if he wins the Sound of 2012 (and he's probably the favourite imo) Rihanna - You da One - Top 5 at least, honestly hope it doesn't go No.1 though :( Skepta - Hold On - Top 30/40 Taio Cruz - Troublemaker - Hopefully it'll miss the Top 10, don't think it will though Jan 16th Alyssa Reid ft. Jump Smokers - Alone Again - Kinda bland, if Capital are really getting behind it, it'll probably go Top 10 Swedish House Mafia vs Knife Party - Antidote - Hopefully #1, if not Top 5 The Ting Tings - Hang It Up - Top 30 Yasmin ft. Ms Dynamite & Shy FX - Light Up (The World) - Could go Top 30 Jan 23rd Cover Drive - Twilight - If radio support it, possibly Top 10. If not, then Top 20 at best Lana Del Rey - Born To Die - Top 5/10 Professor Green - Never Be a Right Time - Top 40 Roll Deep - Picture Perfect - Yawn, maybe Top 40 Feb 6th Gotye (ft. Kimbra) - Somebody That I Used to Know - Wasn't the release date changed to Jan 2nd? Anyway, I'll take a risk and say long-running #2 smash hit Kelly Rowland (ft. Big Sean) - Lay It On Me - Top 10 / 15 Maverick Sabre - No One - Top 20 again Other Releases Alexandra Burke (ft. Erick Morillo) - Elephant - Without hearing it, I can already assume it'll go Top 3 at least Dappy (ft. Brian May) - Rock Star - #1 wouldn't surprise me DJ Fresh (ft. Rita Ora) - Hot Right Now - Could be a #1 contender (since there's about 2 months until it's release ) Flo Rida (ft. Sia) - Wild Ones - Potential #1 Jessie J - Domino - Since it's not from the original February album release, I can actually see this hitting Top 10 eventually Rizzle Kicks - Traveller's Chant - Top 20 The Saturdays (ft. Travie McCoy) - The Way You Watch Me - Might go Top 30 :P Taio Cruz (ft. Flo Rida) - Hangover - Likely Top 5 / 10 at some point Tiesto (ft. Anastacia) - What Can We Do (A Deeper Love) - Absolutely no idea Tinchy Stryder (ft. Pixie Lott) - Bright Lights - Top 20 will.i.am (ft. Jennifer Lopez & Mick Jagger) - T.H.E. - Top 3, pretty good chance of #1
December 29, 201113 yr 2nd January Michael Kiwanuka - Home Again - #3 - has a lot of online hype it seems but I haven't seen the video anywhere Rihanna – You Da One - #8 - I don't think it will do great, it's not an instant hit and it's taken a price reduction for it to go top 10 Taio Cruz - Troublemaker - #1 - simply because the British Public lap up generic cookie-cutter audio shit 16th January Alyssa Reid feat Jump Smokers - Alone Again - #23 - I've never heard of this in my life Swedish House Mafia vs Knife Party – Antidote - #31 - again, not heard it anywhere 23rd January Cover Drive – Twilight - #22 - getting the same amount of exposure as LYD, but nowhere near as infectious Lana Del Rey - Born To Die - #5 - I think there's enough hype around it to go top 5 but I can't see it going to #1 for some strange reason 6th February Gotye feat Kimbra - Somebody That I Used To Know - #1 - everyone seems to be harping on about it Kelly Rowland feat Big Sean - Lay It On Me - #13 - I think it will be a mediocre hit but won't have enough momentum to go top 10 on iTunes Coming Soon Alexandra Burke feat Eric Morillo – Elephant [27th Feb] - #3 - surely it'll do well but it could easily go either way, Radio 1 don't back her so it depends on the quality of the song and how much commercial radio and music channels back her Dappy feat Brian May - Rock Star [13th Feb] - #8 - seems like it could do okay Jessie J – Domino [27th Feb] - #4 - will do really well once the video is out but won't go to #1 due to not being held back The Saturdays feat Travie McCoy - The Way You Watch Me - #28 - won't do well Taio Cruz feat Flo Rida - Hangover [19th Mar] - #1 - God can't Taio just fade away -_- Tinchy Stryder feat Pixie Lott - Bright Lights [27th Feb] - #6 - do well on the back of their names, neither of them have released quality songs though Will I Am feat Mick Jagger & Jennifer Lopez – T.H.E. - #17 - looking to flop (but then I thought that about 'On the Floor'...)
