OK I didn't predict anything for 2011 - but If someone had told me I would be loving the comeback singles of Jennifer Lopez and Maroon 5 I would've laughed my face off. I also never expected LMFAO to be my new favourite dance/rap duo.

Some predicitons for 2012:

Skrillex will have a massive year on my chart with at least 1 #1 hit.

Little Mix's won't hit #1 with their first proper single but will still do well (top 5 with single 1 at least)

Lady GaGa and Rihanna probably won't get #1s (unless Rihanna rushes another album )

Fergie from the BEPs will get a surprise chart hit (probably not but I want her to )

will.i.am (also from the BEPs) will have a massive #1 with some random flopstar (Natalia Kills?)

Madonna could possibly do well if her comeback is a hit

Alexandra Burke will score a big hit on my chart with her comeback

Labrinth will have a massive year if his next single is the same standard as Earthquake (love that tune)

My year end top 3 will all be hated by the rest of Buzzjack

I might update later, or I might not :P

I think Alexandra Burke's new song could be her biggest hit on my chart, with the tile 'Elephant' and Eric Morillo producing it I can't see how it will turn out bad  I can't wait to hear it anyway - I just hope it'll be a club banger and not a Leona Lewis type collision

Surely this should be predictions for 2012? :P Anyway, for me;

I'd be surprised if Steps didn't get a #1 with a comeback single at some point during the year, judging on quality of course! The UK Eurovision entry will either go to #1 in my chart or miss it altogether - it's always one of these two extremes for me. Delta Goodrem will hopefully FINALLY release her fourth album and if so will no doubt score a couple of chart toppers. Expect other hits from Loreen, Abalone Dots, Timoteij, Love Generation, Youngblood, Andreas Johnson, Danny Saucedo and Charlotte Perrelli.

K-pop will continue to dominate my chart, j-pop to a lesser extent. I think that could be true in the real world too, I'm sure that the Billboard Hot 100 and UK Top 75 will welcome at least one asian pop act before the end of the year. There'll be a dozen or so entries from this year's Eurovision song contest, with four or five reaching the top 10 and a couple of #1s. Madonna is likely to get a #1 during the course of the year too. And I'll probably never have an archive or a consistent album chart :kink:

Azealia Banks will probably have a number 1, or at least a big top 5 hit, as will Lana Del Rey (well she already has ).

Little Mix will probably go to number 1 with their proper debut. 2NE1 should be huge for me too with new material in 2012, especially the upcoming English stuff!

Let me see... When Alexis gets her new album out, she should have 1 (or more) #1s.

Azealia Banks and Little Mix should top my chart at some point in the next year, or at least get top 5 again.

The way it's been going, between 1 and 5 of my #1s next year I will have discovered through BJSC, ESC should provide a few top 10 hits, if not a #1.

I suspect hits from Delilah and Lana Del Rey will appear in the early part of the year. There will be a #1 from Rihanna, I will find a way, somehow.

Something that I love but everyone else hates will go top 5 for me.

And that's all I can think of.

Lana Del Rey is also looking set to be my artist of 2012 with 'Born To Die' looking set to be my first big hit of 2012.

In 2011, BJSC entries made a massive impression so that will most likely continue in my chart if the UK release schedule is a complete draught for great new singles.

Azealia Banks, Charli XCX and maybe to a lesser extent Kyla La Grange and Unicorn Kid could be massive in 2012 - it really depends on how strong I think their singles are.

I'm sure there will be some big European hits that eventually make their way across to the UK. As always, a good indication to see what's likely to be a hit in the UK is to look at this weeks US Billboard Hot 100 and just pick out the tracks you've not heard. Chances are a couple of them will be big in 2012.

Madonna will be dominating my chart along with Lana Del Rey and Pet Shop Boys new material in March/April :w00t:

If there's more Swedish House Mafia singles they'll probably get more #1s

Coldplay will no doubt get a couple more #1s with 'Charlie Brown' and whatever other singles they release from MX.

Labrinth will most likely score at least one more #1 too unless the rest of his album is shite like 'LTSS'.

Dunno what else, I don't know if any of my favourite acts are planning new albums/comebacks - hoping for some new material from Sigur Rós for 2012.

LITTLE MIX, XTINA & MADONNA.

Hopefully more from One Direction & The Wanted too. Not too sure on new acts, I'm finding Lana Del Rey to be very overrated/hyped.

Here are everyone's predictions from last year (from users who still post charts):

My predictions for 2011:

Top 5 Comebacks

01. Lady GaGa

02. Coldplay

03. Adele

04. Beyonce

05. Britney Spears

**Florence & The Machine assuming there will be album #2 in 2011, I'd rank above Beyonce in terms of success levels.

2011 looks set to be a huge year for Jessie J. I'm still not 100% sold (then again this time last year I wasn't 100% sold on Ellie Goulding and even now don't think she's had the success expected considering her initial hype). Jessie J already winner of the Brit Awards New Artist award, buzz single 'Do It Like A Dude' doing well at the moment. Next single will probably get a big promotional push in Feb/Mar time and be UK #1. Debut album to enter at #1 but drop down afterwards and struggle to recover when buzz wears off.

Top 5 Newcomers

01. Jessie J (hmm!!!)

02. Two Door Cinema Club

03. Clare Maguire

04. Nero

05. Fenech-Soler

As for 2011 in my chart, I'll go with the following:

Le Kid

Jessie J

Lena Meyer-Landrut

Delta Goodrem

Lady GaGa

Love Generation

Sanna Nielsen

Clare Maguire

Charlotte Church

Bolded have had #1 hits in my chart before, but I'm expecting them to release something of note next year

As for 2011:

Lena

Paramore

Lady GaGa

Jessie J

Rachel Adedeji

Glee Cast

Britney Spears

Avril Lavigne

Bit un-inspired, since the first five have all already had at least one #1 in my chart. Lena returning to Eurovision, Paramore will hopefully release an album despite two members quitting (they released albums in '05, '07 & '09), GaGa giving us her 'album of the decade', Rachel Adedeji will hopefully get to release an album if she doesn't flop before then, more episodes of Glee, and comebacks from Britney & Avril which I am very much looking forward to.

2011 Tips

Spark

Clare Maguire

Jessie J

Natalia Kills

Florrie

Newcomers/Continued Successes:

Cher Lloyd (DUH. The person I'm most interested in!)

Keri Hilson (UK Album release will no doubt help her out in my chart!)

Natalia Kills

Rihanna (Providing she gets the single releases right! NO 'S&M' PLEASE :()

Comebacks:

Avril Lavigne

Blink-182 (UK Tour - which i'm attending in July - will help them out for sure!)

Britney Spears (It's Britney)

Kelly Clarkson (It's Kelly)

The King Blues

Lady GaGa

Disappointments/Over hyped by people on BJ:

Beyoyo

Cascada ( :snif: )

Cheryl Cole

TO BE BIG IN 2011:

Selena Gomez & The Scene: Maby a big artist in 2011

Alexandra Burke: she could do amazing with her next album and is currently number 1 with "what happens on the dancefloor"

Leona Lewis: she could do amazing with the next album

Alexis Jordan: She had a top 3 last year with "happiness" but can she do the same "good girl" is currently number 4 but can it get that important number 1 :o

Lady Gaga: will i go gaga over gaga only time will tell or will i not like her like last year maby i was born this way

I fully expect Beyoncé, Britney and Leona to get at least one #1 following their comebacks.

If Kimberley Walsh releases music as is rumoured then she'll probably get a #1 too.

Alexis Jordan's album should be quite big, as should future singles.

Yasmin might be a success, 'On My Own' is alright, so I'll wait for following singles/the album.

Rachel Adedeji might be big, I'm sure not; 'Follow The DJ' is alright but I'm not getting the same "amazing" vibe from it that everyone else has.

I'm not sure about anyone else currently, I'll try post more if I see someone good! ;o

Just a quick review of 2011 from my tips:

Beyoncé score 4 #1s in my chart, Britney 2 and Leona 1.

Kimberley Walsh never released a solo album :(

Alexis Jordan had a big hit with 'Good Girl', but 'Hush Hush' didn't fare as well; the album hung around for a while, but it was nothing amazing. She scored a second top 10 hit with 'Got 2 Luv U' with Sean Paul though.

Yasmin was an utter failure; she got two low top 30 singles, and no album surfaced.

Likewise, Rachel Adedeji had a low top 30 hit, and no album surfaced.

Now for my 2012 tips:

- Beyoncé will score at least one more #1 single from 4, possibly more if she chooses the right song as a sixth single.

- If Cheryl Cole releases her third album, all of its single will go to #1. Hopefully Girls Aloud will release some new music, which will be good. It's looking less and less likely though.

- Amelia Lily and Little Mix should hopefully both score #1s, and I hope their albums will be successful too.

- Alexandra Burke's new album should be successful, as should Leona's.

I honestly have no idea which new artists will score hits in my chart. Ed Sheeran was the only new act to get a #1 single, and Jessie J, Nicki Minaj and Wynter Gordon had #1 albums (that weren't X Factor graduates from 2010).

Lets see how my predictions did then;

Le Kid - Managed a #1 album/EOY top ten album with Oh Alright! and also scored three more top ten singles, so a decent prediction there!

Jessie J - Had a #2 debut album and a top five single in Price Tag. Not as huge as I expected her to be for me...

Lena Meyer-Landrut - Got a top five hit in Taken By A Stranger and a few other album tracks charted from the #2 peaking album.

Delta Goodrem - STILL not released her bloody fourth album, make it this year please Delta!

Lady GaGa - Finished with my EOY #2 album and scored six top ten hits in the singles chart!

Love Generation - Dance Alone rather underwhelmed me and that was all they charted with for me, it wasn't much of a success at that...

Sanna Nielsen - Ever reliable Sanna had a #1 single which finished in my EOY top 15 :D

Clare Maguire - Scored a top 20 hit in The Last Dance from her mess of an album, which I promptly sold on

Charlotte Church - Can't even remember why I predicted this, the UK Eurovision rumours I guess!

Some predicitons for 2012:

1 - Skrillex will have a massive year on my chart with at least 1 #1 hit.

2 - Little Mix's won't hit #1 with their first proper single but will still do well (top 5 with single 1 at least)

3 - Lady GaGa and Rihanna probably won't get #1s (unless Rihanna rushes another album )

4 - Fergie from the BEPs will get a surprise chart hit (probably not but I want her to )

5 - will.i.am (also from the BEPs) will have a massive #1 with some random flopstar (Natalia Kills?)

6 - Madonna could possibly do well if her comeback is a hit

7 - Alexandra Burke will score a big hit on my chart with her comeback

8 - Labrinth will have a massive year if his next single is the same standard as Earthquake (love that tune)

9 - My year end top 3 will all be hated by the rest of Buzzjack

Here's how my predictions have done so far

1 - He has had a good year, scoring 3 top 5 hits in the form of Summit, Breakn' a Sweat and Bangarang - but no #1 as of yet.

2 - Little Mix are top 10 on my chart at the moment with 'Wings' - it could climb into the top 5 next week

3 - Lady GaGa hasn't released anything this year. Rihanna did hit #1 for me with 'Princess of China'

4 - Fergie hasn't done anything, other than that demo 'Feel Alive' feat. Pitbull which didn't chart for me.

5 - will.i.am did have a chart hit with a flopstar (Eva Simons) however it did not go to #1 for me.

6 - Madonna's Give Me All Your Luvin was a hit in my chart, the rest of her singles flopped.

7 - Burke's Elephant was a big #2 hit in my chart.

8 - Labrinth has not had a massive year, all his follow-ups have been disapointing

9 - My current YE top 3 is STIUTK, Greyhound and Titanium. Buzzjack don't hate any of those songs, infact the only song they don't properly love from that list is Greyhound.

Didn't see this thread until now.

Okay, I can imagine thinking on 2011, Lana Del Rey would have few more Top 10s (which happened), at least 1 Top 10 for Enter Shikari (which happened), at least 1 #1 from Skrillex (same as Thermometer's).

That's probably it.

SHM did indeed get another #1 with 'Antidote', 'Greyhound' is my third favourite song of the year but spent 6 weeks at #2 behind 'ill Manors' which is either my favourite or second favourite song of the year (can't decide whether or not 'Language' has surpassed it). 'Don't You Worry Child' pending, it's nowhere near their best but will probably still eventually become another hit for them (after a 1-1-1-1-2 discography so far :P)

Both 'Charlie Brown' and 'Princess Of China' ended up peaking at #3, no other singles have been taken from 'Mylo Xyloto' since.

Labrinth's album wasn't anywhere near as shite as LTSS but he didn't manage another #1 in the end. 'Last Time' reached #6 (generous in retrospect), 'Express Yourself' #4, 'Treatment' pending. Still a good year for him on the whole though.

Did indeed get a new Sigur Rós album and it didn't disappoint. Without any proper single from it, 'Varúð' did really well to get to #6 for me.
