#65 - Ed Sheeran 'The A Team' - 180 pts

Chart Run: (6-12-27-19-15-24-22-x-40-40-25) (10 wks)

Lovely song! I think it's over-exposure and fantastic success kinda killed it for me. I think I would've liked it more if it had a 'Video Games' style chart run, I always enjoy listening to it and often forget how much I like it. When I found out what the song was actually about, it really shocked me and it made me look at it in a very different way. In some ways, I wish I hadn't found out as I thought it was happy, uplifting song. The video is one of the best of 2011

#64 - Cher Lloyd 'Swagger Jagger' - 185 pts

Chart Run: (10-13-12-17-17-26-37-21-31) (09 wks)

An anthem for all the wrong reasons! I almost had to treat this as a novelty song to enjoy it :D It is an ultimate guilty pleasure for me, everything about it is so wrong, yet I like it! It portrays the wrong image of her right at the beginning of her career, the lyrics are awful, and it can sound quite cheap in places. And it got to #1 before falling extremely quickly, but I like it for all those reasons :( And what an unfortunate photo grab that is!

#63 - Jennifer Lopez feat. Lil Wayne 'I'm Into You' - 188 pts

Chart Run: (12-18-24-21-19-25-22-25-x-33-31-33) (11 wks)

The first of three entries for Ms. Lopez here, I'm Into You actually had incredible longevity for me, it didn't spend a HUGE amount of time in the top 40, but it spent another 13 weeks just outside of it! It's a bit weak compared to On The Floor (well everything is ) but it was good to see Jenny Fromdabloc get another hit from Love?. The video is very nice too, but I'm still baffled why they decided to include part of Papi in the middle 8 for a dance breakdown

#62 - Cee-Lo Green feat. Wiz Khalifa - Bright Lights, Bigger City - 188 pts

Chart Run: (4-15-10-12-12-x-28-29-34-39-39) (10 wks)

Now for a touch of glamour! Cee-Lo came back with his 3rd single from The Lady Killer which quite rightfully out peaked the rather boring 'It's OK'. For the single release, Wiz Khalifa was tagged on to rap in the middle 8, this was the version on the radio and which was promoted everywhere. Sadly it was the solo version that got most of the sales, I quite like Wiz's rap and therefore chart the version with him on. I think this might've been the last successful single Cee-Lo will have for a long time, as I can see it being very difficult for him to create something like 'F**k You!' again. Also 'Anyway' is struggling having had a dodgy release and hardly any promotion, so it looks difficult for Cee-Lo :( (I'm sure Liam will be pleased to hear this!)

#61 - Chris Brown 'Yeah 3x' - 193 pts

Chart Run: (9-15-23-24-19-11-20-24-35-37) (10 wks)

As I mentioned earlier in the 'L.I.F.E.G.O.E.S.O.N.'s post, this was one of the three singles released in the first OA/OS week. This was the most successful of them both in the UK chart and my chart. It's the second of the I'm Not Alone rip-offs to feature in this countdown and both of them are inferior to it. I'd say this is slightly too high in the countdown as it sounds quite generic nowadays and it's a bit boring. But it was around when the charts were quite quiet so it was easy for it to get a good peak and some longevity. Also major love for the little kid who shouts 'hey it's Chris Brown' at the beginning of the video!

#60 - Manian 'Loco' - 193 pts

Chart Run: (6-6-11-8-9-17-37) (07 wks)

So this is the entry I forgot about! This is the second highest BJSC entry which I entered into XXXIV held in Batidas. Unfortunately it DNQ'd there (my first one) which was quite disappointing cause I thought it'd smash, but I've come to realise that that was highly unlikely  I thought it was almost unanimously hated in BJSC, but it managed to get through to the TBO rejects final and finished 10th with 59 points. Which was quite impressive seeing as it hardly picked up any points in the first half of the results. The other entry in the TBO rejects final was 'Got Me Burnin'' by RD (my other DNQ) which seemed to get all of it's points in the first half, even managing to be 2nd at one point, before falling down to 19th after all the results had been presented.

#59 - Wiz Khalifa 'Black & Yellow' - 185 pts

Chart Run: (7-8-9-10-16-20-23) (07 wks)

I can't listen to this anymore as I find it too annoying :( The chorus literally drills it's way into your head and refuses to get out! I think that's mainly due to being shown a GOD-DAMN AWFUL Geography video which the lyrics of the song were replaced with lyrics to do with the structure of the Earth (and therefore being renamed 'Crust & Mantle' :drama:) It is actually a good song, which is shown in the chart run that it got, as it sounds quite 'classy' for a rap song and deserved to do well. It's just a shame that the chorus is 'too' catchy

#58 - LMFAO 'Sexy & I Know It' - 188 pts

Chart Run: (20-8-16-12-19-16-28-30-26-x-40) (10 wks)

Brace yourselves Buzzjack, this is the first of TWO entries (yes TWO, you'll have to endure them again later on) by uncle/nephew duo LMFAO. First of all apologies for only having the lyrics video, YouTube deems it unsuitable for people under 18 to watch (major ) and as I don't have a YouTube account I can't watch the video to get the code to embed it in this thread. Although I'm sure some of you are greatful you won't have to watch it! :kink: Anyway, onto the song it's self, I LOVE IT, it's showing no signs of tiring on me yet and is still charting (#37 in the most recent chart). It is a bit of a novelty track, but when they are good, I love them! Loca People is currently the longest chart runner with 21 weeks in my chart and that shows no signs of getting old yet! I think this could turn out to be my favourite track from them as Party Rock Anthem is sounding a bit old nowadays. :( All you haterz out there... WIGGLE WIGGLE WIGGLE WIGGLE WIGGLE YEAH! :D

#57 - Beyonce - Best Thing I Never Had - 197 pts

Chart Run: (7-9-10-27-26-19-16-19-39) (09 wks)

This is just so beautiful! It really should be higher, but overplay cut it's chart run short. :( I'm loving Beyonce this era and her album '4' is fantastic! The fact that she seems like a genuinely kind, humble and beautiful woman really helps my love for this song. If it had been say Rihanna singing this song (who my friends and I were recently discussing how she seems like a 'class A whorey, $l*t bitch' (aka. not a very nice person) it wouldn't be anywhere as good. I do find it a bit odd that the video depicts her with another man (and not Jay-Z)

#56 - Enrique Iglesias feat. Usher & Lil Wayne 'Dirty Dancer' - 197 pts

Chart Run: (6-8-21-x-4-10-23-18) (07 wks)

Really don't like this anymore  At the time I LOVED it, and I don't regret charting it where it did. It's just that if I had bothered (or had the time) to compile the top 100 on my personal opinion at the end of the year. This would not be there. I think 'Down For Whatever' by Kelly Rowland made me realise that this kind of song sounds really cheap and nasty and is just poor and unoriginal. Moving on....

#55 - Coldplay 'Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall' - 199 pts

Chart Run: (12-23-35-22-18-20-23-37-x-38-x-12-12) (11 wks)

The song that should've kickstarted the Mylo Xyloto era for Coldplay, I prefer this much more to Paradise as it feels much more 'anthemic' than it. I wish this was the single that got performed on X Factor and made #1 :( Paradise is still a very good song, but this feels criminally underrated by the British public. The final minute or so is absolutely gorgeous and it's just as fresh as when I first heard it  I held back a bit on the chart run as (I think) it dropped fairly quickly out of the charts. It should definitely have made the top 10!

#54 - David Guetta feat. Usher 'Without You' - 201 pts

Chart Run: (3-3-7-11-32-35-37-33-35-23-32) (11 wks)

First song past 200 points! :D When I first heard the album Nothing But The Beat, this was one of the immediate standouts (resulting in it's entry at #3 in my chart). After the initial hype died off, and radio and TV started to pick up as it became a single, it started to feel quite generic. I like how it's different from Guetta's usual beats, but Titanium does it so much better *hint hint*. The chorus is so much better than the verses though! It feels like you're waiting for the chorus during the verses, but then it's pretty good when it does come around.

#53 - Dr. Dre feat. Eminem & Skylar Grey 'I Need A Doctor' - 205 pts

Chart Run: (2-3-11-29-x-18-14-22-24) (08 wks)

Another song that I'd almost completely forgotten about, can't even remember how well it did in the UK charts  Did it get into the top 10 after spending ages climbing there or something like that? It had a bit of a front-loaded chart run but it was amazing on first listen (and it sounds pretty good now after not hearing it for a few months). I even prefer it to 'Love The Way You Lie'! [/unpopularopinion] Skylar sounds fantastic on the chorus and her intro is haunting. Eminem is good (for him) in the verses as I usually don't like him and Dr. Dre sounds so sincere in his middle 8 that it's also pretty haunting. I love the whole concept of the song revolving around the return of Dr. Dre too ^_^

#52 - Lady GaGa - The Edge Of Glory - 210 pts

Chart Run: (8-10-10-13-16-12-18-39-x-33) (09 wks)

I dismissed this song too early! :( As you can see, it was doing fairly well in my chart for the first seven weeks, then I think overplay/overhype must've kicked in and suddenly it felt disappointing, it never really recovered from that either. It isn't my favourite GaGa song by a long stretch and I don't think it ever will be, but that still means it's a pretty good song. I love the sax solo in the middle 8! I wish this had been released as the first or second single as it would've meant the Born This Way album campaign would be still be doing well in the singles department, as Judas (as much as I love it) kinda killed it for the public. I suppose the release of this just before the album meant that it benefitted quite a bit from The Edge Of Glory being released at that time.

#51 - Pitbull feat. Ne-Yo, Afrojack & Nayer 'Give Me Everything' - 212 pts

Chart Run: (17-12-12-13-16-21-16-21-29) (09 wks)

And the award for the most bizarre crediting goes to... :D This sounded like such a weird collabaration when I first heard about it, I mean who the f*** was Nayer? The combination of Pitbull, Ne-Yo and Afrojack is also quite odd. If it weren't for Afrojack's (half-arsed by his standards) production, I'm sure this song wouldn't even be in the top 100. It would be the epitome of generic. It still is fairly generic but it does have that something which makes it stands out (and get it 3 weeks at #1 and a top 5 finish in the YTD in the UK)

f*** me I use way too many brackets  The top 50 will begin tomorrow!

Sexy & I Know It (possibly the worst song ever, no exaggeration), Without You and Cee-Lo Green above I'm Into You and The A Team? DISOWNED.

Lots of great stuff otherwise :P

#50 - Ke$ha 'We R Who We R' - 217 pts

Chart Run: (11-9-14-17-18-22-16-22-30-38-38) (12 wks)

Another song which did has part of it's chart run in 2010, including it's peak of #3 but wasn't released until 2011. I loved this song at the time, and had a very strong chart run. Looking back on it, it is pretty generic and throwaway, but I love everything Ke$ha does so I wasn't going to not like it (although it is one of her weakest) much excite for album #2! The video however provides plenty of 'WTF?' moments aswell as some that leave you lost for words  Firstly, the random blue streaks across the screen are just un-necessary and annoying, the editing is pretty shoddy and can sometimes give me a headache just watching the video! Ke$ha's makeup is awful (I mean metal eyebrows?) The DJ going on 'Plenty of Fish' is just weird and a bad use of advertising. The whole concept of partying in an underground tunnel is just odd. And the whole 'falling off the building' thing is just awful! IIRC it was censored on TV  Just generally an awful video! :drama:

#49 - The Wanted 'Glad You Came' - 218 pts

Chart Run: (5-17-23-25-25-24-14-15-18-28-39) (11 wks)

Easily the best song The Wanted have ever made! I think this is also the biggest selling single? So the public also agree! :D I think the main reason for it's success was that it appealed to more than just their fanbase. It seems like a perfect 'anthem' for a lads holiday and it has a very summery feel to it too! I've got quite a few good memories from this summer with this song so I'd imagine I will be a fan of this for quite some time!

#48 - Lady GaGa 'Marry The Night' - 222 pts

Chart Run: (21-21-10-2-5-6-26-15) (08 wks)

This probably peaked a bit too high, as I was on the hype of the music video just about to get released and the X Factor performance. I think the week where it fell from 6-26 was the week the video was released. Totally killed the song for me  The video was so disappointing! It's still a very good song, but I wish the song was more in the style of the second half of the song (after the second chorus) as that part really makes the song for me, and the first half is just 'good'. Shame to see her underperforming with her singles now, but I do think she needs to have a bit more accessible to the general public and have a bit more fun! The news of getting a new album this year isn't promising as I think the public need a break from GaGa and will probably just be more of the same.

#47 - Jessie J - Who You Are - 231 pts

Chart Run: (5-5-8-31-x-17-x-6-36-x-11-22-38) (10 wks)

Probably the oddest chart run in the EOY, due to being promoted throughout the year and getting announced as 'the next single' before finding out it is something else. I used to think this song was amazing at first and was really quite emotional. But because Jessie left this until Winter for this to become a single, I've kind of lost touch with it and realised she isn't all that with the releases of Who's Laughing Now? and Nobody's Perfect being much weaker than the other four singles. Also she is pretty terrible at performing this live  Although the YT video of her performing this in the New York subway station is amazing!

#46 - Sak Noel 'Loca People' - 235 pts

Chart Run: (27-37-x-25-32-x-28-40-35-22-6-15-13-33-17-22-28) (15 wks)

I didn't realise it, but this did take quite a while to reach it's peak in my popularity, it only managed to reach it's peak after 9 weeks! I'm surprised this still hasn't grown old on me yet as everyone else seems to be over it now and is calling it 'novelty crap'. It's still in my chart! I can understand why people dislike it, but I absolutely love it as it is the funniest thing to try and sing along to it! I was really surprised with it's chart run in the UK chart as I thought it would take a while to reach it's peak and stick around for ages. Instead it just peaked at #1 and dropped off the chart very quickly!

Pretty good countdown so far, I will be honest though, it is rather quite shocking that I find all of those songs so high, considering how good they were, but I think I might like the number one anyway ! ;)

Very UK chart friendly countdown Klumzee! Good though for the most part and will be interesting to see the rest! Shame to see The A Team fall so early but at least it's here :D

THE marmite hit of the year! Personally I absolutely love it and think it's the best thing to come out of the '4' era (even if it doesn't fit in with the rest of the album). Although I can fully understand the hate. It had a monster chart run, only peaking at #13 but managing to come top 10 in the EOY chart! It's a real shame that it bombed in the 'real' charts :( Clearly people can't appreciate a work of art when they see it! :P

That video  Didn't know Pon de Floor had a music video!

And I love the original too! Just Beyonce's has a bit more 'shebang' just because it's Beyonce! :D
