January 4, 201214 yr Author First page re-edited, second post, made it a bit flashy some some bits and pieces added from OCC. I just hope this is not the sign of the future where OCC are posting the top 10 daily instead of Music Week dishing out the mids from Tues to Fri. As we had no mids from Music Week so far this year.

I'm a big fan of Rihanna - but YDO is one of her worst single choices ever, so it would be great if it misses T10 - then she needs to release TTT or WHYB asap because both of those scream "top 5 SMASH"

However, I don't think her new album is anywhere as good as "loud" or "good girl gone bad" and for me, there are only a couple of standout tracks on it. I get the impression it was rushed.

January 4, 201214 yr I liked all the singles off loud with the exception of "what's my name" and "cheers". However, for me the best era by far is "good girl gone bad" when she rocked with pop.

January 4, 201214 yr Wow brilliant set of mids! Although I hope we still get top 40 updates from MW. Firstly, it is great to see Beyonce re-entering the top 10 in the albums chart. Although I'm frustrated with LOT - it is at #22 for a bajillionth week! Hopefully it creeps into the top 20 this week - along with Katy's TOTGA. Secondly, it is great to see that terrible JLS single flopping. It is their second worst single ever (beaten by 'The Club Is Alive'). JLS really need to up their game and actually release creative material instead of relying on generic pop filler. Their latest album failed to get to #1, TACOM failed to get to #1 and now this single is failing to even go top 10 when artists like Katy Perry manage to get their fifth singles in the top 10 at the very least. The lack of success with this single is completely deserved. Also great to see 'Moves Like Jagger' back in the top 10. I hope it beats the top 10 run of 'Love The Way You Lie'. That's a huge achievement for Bruno! :o Sure he wasn't in the top 40 at least one week last year or a week between NOY and JTWYA? I hope he bounces back with 'It Will Rain' though. I love his voice in that song.

January 4, 201214 yr How many weeks are both MLJ and IGF on? MLJ is on 16 and IGF is on 17 (current 21st century record). I think this really will be Maroon 5's last week top 10 if they manage it as they seem to finally be in some sort of proper decline on iTunes so I don't think they'll beat IGF now, but they seem likely to equal it. (They're now behind Jessie, LMFAO, Ed Sheeran and Lloyd on iTunes combined though so if sales are close-ish at the bottom of the top 10 they might still drop out by Sunday).
