Couldn't see a topic about it, so I thought I'd start it...the new Muppets film has already been out in US cinemas since Thanksgiving and it did really well in the Box Office over there - Amy Adams and Jason Segel and a new Muppet called Walter (who's meant to be their biggest fan) have to raise $10m to prevent the Muppets theatre from facing certain doom...at least that's what I gathered from the trailer.

Even so, this is the first time since 'Muppet Treasure Island' that I've been genuinely excited about a new Muppets film! 'Muppets from Space' was a huge let down but this looks like a return to the glory days of 'Muppets Take Manhattan' and 'The Great Muppet Caper' so the 9 year old in me is excited! Anyone else going?

I am SO excited for this! I re-watched The Muppet Christmas Carol over Christmas (naturally), and I admit that it wasn't as good as I remembered it to be, but I really hope this is very good :D I don't think I've actually seen that many Muppets films.
 Can't wait for this, I love The muppets.
embassasing that there wasn't already a topic. I've only heard good things about this, it's really taken the piss how long it's taken them to release it in the UK.

I agree! Especially as they had the Muppets over in November to promote the film! :drama:

they are lucky there havent been any torrents of it, about time the film industry realised that film is global not country by country.

On a totally different note: the UK version of the soundtrack includes the studio version of 'Dance With Me Tonight' that Olly Murs did with them on X Factor last year! It's up for pre-order on iTunes and Amazon at the moment...
this is getting really good reviews in the US, I'm looking forward to it, I do love the Muppets :D I actually only watched Muppets Christmas Carol over Christmas for the first time this year :o really good nonetheless
Everything about this is pointing to it being amazing. We have The Muppets (mostly excited for Animal! FUCK YESSS!) obviously, Jim Parsons, Neil Patrick Harris, Jason Segel and Amy Adams. (To name just a few) As well as music from Brett McKenzie. It's all too much for me at the moment, but ridiculously excited!

Aye this looks wicked. I love the Orange ad they've been showing in the cinemas for this.

There's a DVD quality out there. Not seen it, so not sure how good it it, but it's out there for streaming.

Saw this last night, thought it was absolutely marvellous. It was a tad cheesy at times, and over relied on breaking the 4th wall, but it's a genuine feel good film, with some great laughs. "We all agreed that celebrities aren't people"
I saw this last night also. Loved it. I've always been a Muppet man (am I a man? Or am I a muppet?) so probably laughed a few too many times. CHEESY AND FAB ETC.
I concur with finding this amazing! I saw it on (Orange) Wednesday, and it's a genuinely good film! After re-watching A Muppet Christmas Carol over the last holiday period, I felt a bit underwhelmed and assumed I'd feel the same with this, but it's just SO good. Many hilarious points/quotes, as well as the performances (I assume unintentionally) having me in stitches.
I went to see it while stoned in the cinema yesterday, and it was pretty incredible. can't tell if it's because I was proper high or not.

Could not stop laughing when the bad guy started singing.

Absolutely loved this. Could have done with a lot more Pepe though

I enjoyed this probably a bit too much than I should have. Having the mental age of a 5 year old helps.
