I can't really remember! :P It was a CD, and it was either Confessions or Ray of Light, and I *might* have got Ray of Light off eBay, and if I did, I got Music soon after it. Anyway, whichever was first, I bought the album because of one of the singles - Ray of Light for Ray of Light and Hung Up and Sorry for Confessions :D

Actually, my mum may have owned Ray of Light and gave it to me, not too sure! :P

Me Against The Music - single.

LOLJK.

'The Immaculate Collection'.

Frozen on cassette-my first ever music purchase!

Hard Candy :kink:

The cover attracted me, the pinkess of it stood out in Woolworths (shows how long ago it was)

Sadly, that copy got lost :(

4 Minutes the single, it was just about when I was getting into music properly. Then I discovered the rest of her stuff, though I had liked some of her songs before I never really knew they were hers (too young) Confessions was the first album of hers I got, it was the middle of 2009 I think.

I'm Going To Tell You A Secret (documentary DVD/tour CD). I watched it on television and thus began my fandom (although only recently have I become a true CONVERT *.*).

Was this when you first became a fan?

Strangely enough the first CD my family ever had was the Don't Cry For Me Argentina single, when we got our first CD player. When was that, like 1996 or something? We were only a bloody decade late!

"Like A Prayer" album on cassette for Xmas 89 swiftly followed by "True Blue" on CD (My first CD ever!) in 1990 and "Vogue" on 7", part of my conversion from Kylie to Madonna
My mother had Beautiful Stranger on cassette! Funny since I don't recall her ever specifically being a Madonna fan.

mine too

My mum has Ray of Light (single) CD and Like a Virgin (single) on 12", and I didn't think she was specifically a Madonna fan either. She does really like her, but not a fan of such. Her best friend is a massive Madonna fan though! :P

I was 12 then I liked Vogue, La Isla Bonita and Human Nature it wasn't until the Ray Of Light (the album) that I really became a fan and looked at her impressive back catalogue.

Bloody hell, now I feel OLD. My first Madonna actual purchase was the Like A Prayer single. However, I already had the Like A Virgin and True Blue vinyl`s given to me for previous Christmases.

Ray of Light seems to be the main reason for people to become fans :D

Ray of Light for me. Frozen and the title track were so good and it was such an iconic album and everyone recommended it so it just seemed like the best place to start. That was only last year and since then I've only tried Confessions but I DO intend to get around to more whenever I find time. Going with Music next. And I know everyone hates it but I've got my mind set on it. I figure that if I enjoy that then it will surely be very hard for Madge to get on my bad side. After that, the Superbowl performance has made me want to try whatever album has Vogue on it.
