February 3, 201213 yr Author Guys, really, you're either crazy or stupid, this song is a surefire year end top 5 hit. It's been the most successful song in Israel for two months. gonna be huge in the UK as well if released properly in the English version. I agree with you apart from one thing - i'll stick with the original. And I bet the US will also. Edited February 3, 201213 yr by euro music
February 3, 201213 yr Author So you're saying you don't understand what he's saying here? Well most of it anyway - rap isn't music it's just talking and still you can't understand it Like this 5qm8PH4xAss
February 3, 201213 yr Agreeing with kobbar. This alone disturbs me :o That's the first time you have agreed with Kobbar  :heehee:
February 3, 201213 yr Well most of it anyway - rap isn't music it's just talking and still you can't understand it no offence, but that really is an ignorant view of the genre - the focus on rap isn't mainly focused on hooks and is more about the lyrics and delivery, the example you posted may not be lyrically deep, but it certainly requires more talent than just 'talking' have you heard Lose Yourself, Gangsta's Paradise or Stan by any chance? can you call them 'just talking'? February 3, 201213 yr Well most of it anyway - rap isn't music it's just talking and still you can't understand it LOOOOL. No offence but what are you actually on? What an ignorant view on one genre on music, you kind of need to widen your mind a bit... I'm not against an opinion obviously but this is just bigoted, surely you have to like some rap, thinking it's all shit is just nonsensical. I get that maybe you don't like rap but you can't say it's just talking, rap does take talent. Edited February 3, 201213 yr by Liаm
February 3, 201213 yr Couldn't believe there was a topic about Michel Telo! I'm Brazilian and can't stand this song anymore!! :puke2: I can't understand this huge success!
February 3, 201213 yr This won't be a hit. It has no appeal for UK audiences. Danza Kuduro and Gasolina are reggaeton which sounds great in clubs and both fit in with music that was released at the time. If Shakira couldn't get a hit with La Tortura and Juanes with La Camisa Negra, this won't go anywhere either. However...the thought just occurred that some Radio 1 DJ will start playing this and there will be endless hilarious (not hilarious) jokes with the DJ trying to sing along with lyrics they've made up.

Step forward Chris Moyles. (when this happens you can all blame Ashley :D )

What I think of rap is no more biggoted than people not buying a record because it's in a foreign language. What I was trying to say is that it's just as much wasting money on rap (that most of the time you can't understand the lyrics) than it is on music in a foreign language Edited February 4, 201213 yr by euro music

February 4, 201213 yr What kind of re**** doesn't understand rap lyrics? PAHAHA, I was just going to say something similar. It's all very well and good people being polite saying "no offence, but..." but when the opinion is that deluded and downright spiteful I don't really care if the poster's offended or not.

Yet his/her opinion is just as valid as yours or mine.
February 4, 201213 yr Yet his/her opinion is just as valid as yours or mine. Of course it's valid, but if it comes across as ignorant then I don't feel the need to tread particularly carefully around it.
February 10, 201213 yr What kind of re**** doesn't understand rap lyrics? This re**** doesn't for the most part .....
February 10, 201213 yr Couldn't believe there was a topic about Michel Telo! I'm Brazilian and can't stand this song anymore!! :puke2: I can't understand this huge success! I'm also tiring a little of the song but its simplicity at least makes it memorable and have to say that Brazil has great music ... Paula Fernandes, Luan Santana, Gusttavo Lima and Ivete Sangalo have been producing fantastic songs over the last year . The huge success of "Ai se eu te Pego" is of course down to football ....notably Christiano Ronaldo.... Edited February 10, 201213 yr by moth09
February 11, 201213 yr The song is #308 on UK iTunes now. I doesn't really seem to be going anywhere (either up or down), it's just been staying stable for weeks now. I don't think it can be a big hit just by word of mouth and Internet hype though, it needs promotion, which as others have said, is quite unlikely to happen. To be fair, I don't understand most of what Sean Paul says, but I still love his songs.
