Somehow the new Jason Mraz song shot to number 1 on US iTunes upon release and debuted top 10 on the Hot 100, it could be at least a minor hit here.

Such a beautiful video for CB... I wish the Brit's wasn't a week away and POC will kill this song obviously... they both needs to smash but... we'll deal.

Well Brits is just under 3 weeks away, isnt it on the 22nd? So Charlie Brown i'm hoping will climb in to the top 40 by then, and as another member said maybe a medley? :D Similar to The X Factor performance, hope so anyway! :)

A poster at ukmix has emailed the OCC and received a reply which confirms the track will be ineligible for the singles chart

Their reply is:

According to the chart rules, if the track is being made available as an instant grat for purchasing the album, it will be ineligible for the Official Singles Chart until the album is released (see Section 7 of the Official Albums Chart Rules and Official Singles Chart Rules PDFs below).

This will be the case with Give Me All Your Luvin’ as it was with Coldplay’s Paradise.

Hmph. Someone should contact them regarding the Bruce Springsteen incident then :P

I guess chart positions don't matter to her otherwise she wouldn't waste the guaranteed sales from her fanbase or release at the end of a trading week

 29. Give Me All Your Luvin' (feat. Nicki Minaj & M.I.A.) - Madonna

 96. Bad Girls - M.I.A.

Two midweek releases by M.I.A. in the top 100. Fun.

Bugger, that's what - two months of ineligible sales then, just like Paradise. Except I really don't see this one climbing to the top over three months after its release...

I hope the media don't interpret it as a flop lead single when it sits and 'peaks' at #18 or something on the week the album's released

21. Madonna - Give Me All Your Luvin' (Feat. Nicki Minaj & M.I.A.)

Tyga FINALLY in the top 100!!!!! :cheer: :w00t: Can we say some diversity is starting to come back to the charts if a song like this can get top 100? Although last time I said that the next thing I knew, a generic Taio Cruz song came out of nowhere and went to #2 on iTunes, so I won't get my hopes up.

Madonna is climbing very fast. I haven't heard the final song yet. I hope it's good, but I heard it's quite similar to the demo version this time. I really doubt Madonna is concerned that she's ineligible to chart here. I can see Madonna having a year like Britney Spears had last year, with massive hits in the US, but she'll keep flopping in the UK because she might not get much radio support. Ultimately, flopping in the UK makes absolutely no difference to Madonna and Britney's careers, so why should they care? Doing well here is more of an "added bonus". They might come and promote here if they have nothing better to do.

I think this shows Madonna literally has no chance of going to number one, even with Nicki Minaj on it!
Is it just me or does the Madonna song sound really corny and cheap? I've never been a fan but it just doesn't sound very good. It's too old fashioned.

I thought it would be higher by now!

errr.... its only been out for a few hours

As far as I understand, this offer is only till 6th of feb. You get the single when you pre-order the album. Isn't that correct? So it should be eligible after this pre-order promotion is over on the 6th. I'm not 100% sure though.

I heard a demo of 'Give Me All Your Lurvin' and it instantly made me think of 'Girlfriend' by Avril Lavigne. Well, that made #2 in the UK and at the time sold relatively well (50k for a #2 single in 2007 was considered very good  ) so Madonna has taken that sound and urbanised it.

Why do people think it's flopping? Noone from general public actually know the song yet, it just went to radios today. The video has just come out too. Also I assume the single charting is the one purchased on its own without the pre-order deal. Most fans would have bought it with the album which doesn't count.

its not bad as such, its just really generic and average, just a bit of a non event really and not something that I think will be a high point for her

Oh good point! Now what will happen after the 6th?
