I actually kind of don't care if it gets to to the real #1, it's a victory that it did it on iTunes.

Why? We just have to see if it keeps growing in the lead. Its not even midday on a Wednesday, its almost exactly half way through the trading week

I ADORE Titanium and Somebody That I Used To Know pretty much equally, so seeing as the former has now been a #1, can it go back to 99p stat and let the latter take its deserved place at the top before DJ Fresh/Emeli Sande take up the top end!

Like a prayer is her definitive song in my opinion, it is her only song i can truly say i am a genuine fan of.

Just goes to show that OA/OS can work if done right - and the best songs will rise to no1 with decent support and a unique talking point!

She was on at 1am during a sport that is not popular here. So yes, it had Zero effect in the UK chart.

I think people here in the UK don't know what the superbowl is..

The only coverage I noticed in the papers was the US reaction to M.I.A. giving the finger ;-)

 

I think the Madonna song will pick up once it's added to radio and TV playlists.

Yes, it got deleted when the special priced album preorder was deleted. I'm sure this song will be a top 10 hit eventually, it's barely had any airplay as yet though, and as Titty said the Superbowl is not a popular show here.

lol, are you sure you don't live in the US? :lol: But yeah, Lollipop was more popular here than its peak suggests (and it's an iTunes top 1000 staple, I bet it's in there now). Another song from that time that charted freakishly low here that seemed like a massive hit in real life was Whatever You Like by T.I.

 

I don't think I've ever heard "Whatever You Like", "Live Your Life" completely usurped it over here. As for "Lollipop", was it really that popular?

I dont mind if Titanium isnt #1 Sunday, as its already made it and been a big hit, and it'll continue to sell well. Also Turn Me On coming to the top 10 at #11. :dance: Surely must be really close now?

 

Hopefully Drunk makes an entrance into the top 10 soon shortly after Guetta does.

 

Heaven #58, still 99p, has it been used anywhere? I think its just the word of mouth around Emeli's album coming soon. :D Also her Brit win too!

I wrote this yesterday morning:

 

"Now that the pre-order period for the new Madonna album is ended, Give Me All Your Luvin' has been deleted and the single has been re-added, so it will come back to the chart later this week."

I hope Madonna can stage a recovery once the airplay starts to pick up. Interesting to read everybodys' fave Madonna songs. Mine would be:
