Just previewed Madonna's new song as I hadn't heard it yet and soon wished I hadn't. Sounds dreadful, like a 12 year old singing Nicola Roberts recent flop song!!

I just listened to Madonna and, unlike the person above me, I really like it. The chanting isn't anywhere near as annoying as some of you are making it out to be. And I love M.I.A.'s part of it. Definitely her best single since '4 Minutes', maybe even her best since 'Hung Up' if it's a grower.

This is kind of random, but does anybody think it would've been so much better if Hung Up and 4 Minutes had their releases swapped around? Like 4 Minutes would've been amazing if it was released at the end of 2005, as it would've still been when the brass hip hop sound was in fashion (Crazy in Love, Hollaback Girl, My Humps, etc.) and just before the dance/electro/Timbaland craze started taking off. Like, 4 Minutes is a fantastic song, but imagine how impressive it would've been if it came out BEFORE Promiscuous, SOS, My Love, etc.

 

On the other hand, Hung Up could've well been a US #1 if it was released in 2008 imo. I mean, dance-pop songs like Womanizer, Forever, Disturbia, Love in This Club, Hot N Cold, etc. were hits that year, so it could've been done I think.

I quite like her new song. Although its odd that the best bits about it are Minaj's rap and the chanting, rather than Madonna's singing.

The Madonna album deals ends on Monday so will the single be able to chart from then on wards or not until album released?

Second, is the placing above of the single only from sales of people who bought it separately or does it included the 'extra' sales as well from those who pre-ordered the album?? Thanks
