KYLIE’S A PASSION THRILLER

Pop princess comes top in PRS for Music chart of ‘sexy songs’

St. Valentine may be the patron saint of romantic love, but the UK doesn't spend £millions on cards, gifts, candlelit dinners and impractical underwear every year without at least the promise of something back.

In recognition of that, PRS for Music has compiled the ultimate playlist of sexy songs to 'close the deal' on Valentine’s Day. Coming top of the chart is Kylie Minogue’s track ‘Slow’ that hits all the right buttons when it comes to passion.

PRS for Music, the organisation that collects royalties on behalf of its 85,000 song writing and composer members, compiled the ‘lusty list’ of music using its unique performance data working out which songs have been used most across the UK over the past 12 months.

The erotic dance track is the ‘most-performed’ song on radio, TV and online.

PRS for Music Chairman, Guy Fletcher said: “Music can have an aphrodisiac affect upon people especially when they are in a romantic mood and Kylie’s Slow seems to press all the right buttons. Personally I prefer the old classics like Hot Chocolate’s ‘You Sexy Thing’ or Barry White’s ‘Can’t Get Enough of Your Love Babe’ but whatever your music choice there’s certainly something in this PRS for Music chart for everyone – good luck!”

Slow played more than Like A Virgin? I never hear the majority of this list anywhere, certainly not Slow! Like A Virgin is still played regularly on radio and TV and I would imagine in other public places, surprised it's not top!

Are these sort of 'most played' lists EVER accurate though?

This list is totally not what I was expecting tbh.

Especially Dirrty at #2!! :o It's a VERY good song, but I think it's a bit too loud for that type of thing. Same with Sexy Back.

Candy Shop and I'm a Slave 4 U are perfect though.

And we all know there's 2 Christina Aguilera songs on the list for GOOD REASON.

To be fair, I don't think so. I've seen some of their other lists, and I wonder where they get their data from. I remember seeing one for the most played songs in bars in 2009 or something, and half of the songs were from like 2007/2008, and then a load of the others were ones people bearly knew.

Candy Shop is sexy?

In a predatory kind of way:

Give it to me baby, nice and slow

Climb on top, ride like you in a rodeo

You ain't never heard a sound like this before

Cause I ain't never put it down like this

Soon as I come through the door, she kept pulling on my zipper

It's like a race, who can get undressed quicker

Isn't it ironic, how erotic it is to watch her in thongs

Had me thinking about that ass after I'm gone

I touched the right spot at the right time

Lights on or lights off, she like it from behind

So seductive, you should see the way she whine

Her hips in slow mo on the floor when we grind

No she ain't stopping homie and I ain't stopping

Dripping wet with sweat, man it's on and popping

All my champagne campaign, bottle after bottle, it's on

And we gonna sip that heavy bubble man, every bottle is gone
