actual bleh at how 'niggas in paris' is only going up, it's just 100% crap. 'otis' was awful but this is just even worse, it's got nothing to it at all... just stop it, both of you.

That shit CRAY.

I can't really get into 'Niggas In Paris' either...

Oh, I absolutely love it! Second best song on the album imo. Great to see some decent hip-hop tracks in the top 40 for a chance. Hopefully the Motto will be hot on its heels!

Is "I Can't Stop" rising because of the Kony 2012 campaign? And if so, could it be the first song to get a boost from an internet campaign of this nature?

Oh, I suppose that would explain it (and also explain why it's blowing up in the USA too since this is a worldwide campaign). I wouldn't have known about that because I haven't had the time to watch the Kony 2012 film thing yet.

Would NEVER have expected StooShe to be the highest new entry this week. :o

I completely expected it :kink: I actually thought it'd be higher than this. Tinchy's success however has surprised me a lot, I thought it'd go low top 20 or maybe sneaking #9 or #10 at the very best but it's looking set to get at least #8 if not #6/7.

At the rate it's climbing according to Kworb "Niggas In Paris" could be very close to 11 when Marcus drops out of the top 10. Of course it suffers from the weekend effect so would have to catch him in the next two days.

I don't think it'll go top 10 before the weekend effect but fingers crossed it'll carry on the pattern of going higher every week and get there by next weekend, then go top 10 officially next week or the week after. I think it'll start to slow down soon though, now it's on the R1 A-List so its airplay won't increase much more. 9Although I don't know how much video airplay it's getting so I guess that could still be increasing).

SHUSH DOUG

I approve this message.

Lets hope the Paris rise pushes it up higher than the one place rise to 27 in the mids - thought it would have been up to 21 or so - maybe be at 23/24 by Sunday then a nice rise to the top 10 next week please!!
352. Mario - Let Me Love You - I notice this has been so high for weeks now. Is it 59p?

Could be to do with it being covered in an upcoming episode of Glee (to be broadcast next week on Sky One) from people who've been watching online and the Glee version is presumably unavailable to download currently.

Hoping in tomorrow's midweek updates Marcus tumbles down to at least #08 and Tinchy/Pixie climb up to #07 (Where I expect they will debut this week)

The new batch of 59p songs should be released in the next 1-3 days, which I am looking forward too!

25. Rihanna & Jay Z - Talk That Talk

28. Taio Cruz & Flo Rida - Hangover

39. Demi Lovato - SkyScraper (I doubt, but hope this manages to get a second week in the top 40)

99. Emeli Sande - Read All About It Part III, Surely this should be released as the next single?

108. Wynter Gordan - Dirty Talk

The charts are dry at the moment bring on Alexandra, Usher and Plan B all future No 1s I hope.

If the latter two are what's coming up, then I'm rooting for Christina Perri, and Maroon 5 to hand around a bit longer...

HOW DARE YOU. Niggas In Paris is LEGIT. -_-

She recently said on twitter that she was filming the video for her next single, My Kind Of Love

The charts are so slow-moving atm. The top 15 hasn't changed since this morning.

If you consider that slow, then what did you think of the charts in 2008?

I didn't follow the charts in 2008, but it must've been awful if it was slower than this.

The charts have been very slow ever since I've followed them to be honest, but it was much slower in 2011 than in 2009 and 2010 to me. I hope they can speed up again sometime, it can be very boring, and it's annoying having loads of great songs hovering in the 50-200 region for weeks, being kept out of the top 40 by songs that have been there for 5 months like Party Rock Anthem and Who's That Chick? or whatever.

EDIT: Movement in the top 15!! :cheer:

Dappy down to #12 again. Kelly Clarkson down to #15 (so Lil Wayne and Jay-Z/Kanye climb a place each).

Tyga up to #28, and Drake up to #29 (this is quite a resurgence for Drake, for reasons I don't know, as he fell out of the top 40 last week).

What is the weekend effect?
