Not a fan of Justin's music. I just listened to a 47 second teaser of his new song and I hate to admit this but I have a feeling I'm gonna like this song when the full song is released tomorrow.

 

 

 

I do think you're making a good point there I mean Live My Life dropped out pretty quickly. If radio supports him then he might do well in this era, but radio hasn't been there for him in the past with the exception of Baby I think.

The biggest victim of Billboard's airplay rules isn't One Direction but Carly Rae Jepsen. That Call Me Maybe has remained in the top 10 iTunes chart for weeks and weeks despite virtually ZERO airplay is astounding. It's currently RISING and is up to #6 even as the song is still outside the top 40 on airplay. I don't know how people are hearing the song enough to buy it in the numbers they are, but I'm happy about it.

It wont have huge ariplay, but the fact that Fun's Airplay is not huge advantages Justin. If Justin drops off number one come Thu/Firday, Fun Should manage to remain at number one.

So Justin didn't beat Gagz' record then? Thank GOD for that. Fun MIGHT JUST be able to retain the #1 with the rate their airplay is increasing if JB falls off steadily but I won't hold my breath.

Fun have over a 100 million AI on airplay, and still increasing by 4 million a day...

 

I wouldn't mind Justin being #1; the song's not awful, but it would be hilarious to witness some members' meltdowns if he were to get there. He won't of course though, because he'll need to outsell fun. by a very, very large amount to get there.

The reception to 'Boyfriend' is better than all his other songs it seems with people saying it isn't too bad to say it's him so I think it could hold up OK and radio might be willing to get on board with it more. Doubtful whether it can debut at #1 but #2 at least I'd have thought.
