WMYB and OT are like musical cousins, surprised that someone could hate one of these songs but like the other tbh... haha.

Radio airplay letting them down in terms of the Hot 100 then.

So Taylor never did get #1 :D!

Gotye back up to #2 now and he's developed a pretty decent lead over The Wanted. A Billboard top 3 of fun., Gotye and The Wanted in that order would be fantastic. (Gotye being #1 instead would be even better but I can't see that happening now). Kelly Clarkson probably won't shift though <_<

 34. Rumour Has It - ADELE

Can this please start picking up a bit soon?

She was climbing, then all of a sudden, there was a weird iTunes glitch and all the new entries dropped back suddenly, and never seemed to recover.

The video doesn't seem to have done much for Part of Me here either. I guess it's just an underwhelming song compared to her other hits.

It's so weird that it's doing so badly though. Even the 5th single from Teenage Dream did far better than it like. People just haven't taken to POM at all!

The same Part Of Me that debuted at #1 on the Hot 100 and has stayed top 10 since then? :P

It's done far better than I personally expected it would, considering it's a song clearly deemed to not be good enough for the original 'Teenage Dream' (as it's been on the Internet since before the release of the album I believe?) The first single off album 3 will probably do better, but as it stands 'Part Of Me' is going to be a transatlantic #1 which is pretty good going for what is essentially a leftover :P

Yes, that. It's like a slightly bigger HIAM for now and I think a lot of us would have expected it to be a longrunning #1 or at least a longrunning top 5. Even the video is having no effect and there's a big gap between this and the success of all her last releases (aside from maybe The One). I'd also not really give it the "it's a leftover!" card. It might not have been on the album but that doesn't mean they didn't think it was good enough to make it.

Why else would they leave it off?

So it could launch a re-release! Considering how early the re-release rumours started I don't find it hard to believe at all that Capitol deliberately decided to hold back a few hits for said re-release.
The video was only released like 2 days ago aswell. I honestly don't care what Katy's song does from now on, but it's extremely rare for a song to shoot up the charts the same day the music video comes out. Only Lady Gaga songs, and few others like Sexy And I Know It and Last Friday Night do that.

Then why did they record it BEFORE the original album? Why not record new songs for the re-release actually, you know, after the original campaign is finished, so it doesn't have a chance to leak onto the Internet well over a year before release?

This is the label that made 3 seperate (terrible) attempts to get one song to #1, I don't think logic is their strongpoint. I don't see why they would NEED to wait to record POM anyway? Perhaps they only saw the hit potential when the demo was done.

Ellie up to 73. I don't understand why she actually RISES during the weekend. Perhaps she'll go to 65ish, then drop back down the mid 70's before rising to the 50's and etc.

I'm guessing her club play is having more of an impact than her radio play now which is why she now tends to peak on the weekends and stall during the weeks. Strange though! Random update now that you've reminded me:

Calvin: #13, #134, #879

Ellie: #73, #247, #851 (funnily enough the Bassnectar versions seem to fall on the weekends when you'd think they'd get more club play than the original)

Lana Del Rey is at #100 with Video Games. Has she performed it somewhere or...? Because there's no way it climbed there by itself.

I think Lana was on American Idol this past week.

Any idea on how Ed Sheeran is doing in the US?

Not top 1000. Unfortunately.
