You never know, I haven't disliked any of them and a few have got points from me in the semis if you look back :P Your entries are often just outside my top ten, as opposed to being nowhere near getting points.

Thanks Simon, I take Euphoria to mean 'a heightened emotion, an amazing out of body feeling of pleasure', glad you like it!

 

Vacation has massively grown on me in the sun! Paloma's comeback is more dancy than her older stuff but not overly so, I like it a lot!

Thanks Liam, I'd imagine The Sats will be on their way to #1 for you :P I'm not sure what will happen next, I thought Delta's new song could have been a contender for my next #1 but it won't be out in time. J.Lo and The Sats will get high debuts but I doubt they'll topple Euphoria, not straight away anyway. It's all down to Rae Morris! I'm glad you like it, maybe you will be hearing it more, it's such an emotionally charged ballad, I'm absolutely in love with it :wub:

 

Indeed, although I never LOVED most of those before the UK release, although it's not because of the release that I'm liking them, more of a coincidence of timing in a lot of cases! We Are Young and STIUTK are genuine slow but massive growers for me. Titanium I loved instantly, Call Me Maybe I liked instantly but got bored of quickly and I'd not heard Alone Again beforehand!

 

Ha I know, Latvia are usually so dire, technically though this song is too lyrically and I can't see it in the final :( Pretty much all of the international winner's singles are one or two week wonders for me but there's something about I Can Be, it's nicely indie-pop and quirky.

1. Who knows, Rae was hot on her heels after only three days! Plus Satellite had three separate three week stints atop my chart with nine in total (being interrupted by Sheelah's Psycho and Kylie's All The Lovers), so there may well be more life left in Euphoria even after it finally does leave the top.

2. There's a live version on Youtube which is lovely but the studio version adds strings and atmosphere hence me uploading it. Wow really? I'm interested to hear your entry then! Not that I'm confirming that this is mine of course! :P

8. It's going the other way for me, it sounded amazing blaring out in the car!

Masterpiece has had heavy rotation on Heart and Radio 2 and was well publicised as part of the W.E. movie so a few reasons to explain it doing so well!

It was SO instant for me that I downloaded it immediately after listening to the first minute of it, I was absolutely entranced by her voice and the melody, but then I've always been a huge fan of ballads and find many of them incredibly instant. The last one I loved quite so much was probably The Secret Is Love which had a similar 'WOW' first listen effect, even though it seemed to take an age to grow on everybody else! And it may yet dispose Loreen, I see her already sliding off the top of a number of other charts, including your own, so I won't feel so guilty when it inevitably happens in mine :drama:

3. I expect I'll be loving this until June, I always get right behind our entries unless I really can't stand them!

38. Oh yeah, forgot about Christina, I guess A Thousand Years was the last piano ballad that I was addicted too, criminally underrated song, so beautiful. I do love big 'epic' ballads too but my initial problem with Pastora's song is that the second half is infinitely better than the first, it seems to take forever to get going, which is a problem with a big string ballad which is only allowed to last for three minutes! I'm getting over that gripe now though.

Thanks Jonjo, Euphoria is indeed amazing in the sun and would have still been WAY ahead of the pack if not for me loving Don't Go. It's instantly better than Birdy for four reasons - 1) it's an original song that she wrote herself 2) I prefer her voice 3) it has actual, not pretend emotion 4) it has strings! I really hope that you like it when you get to listening to it, I know you like the occasional piano ballad as much as I do (like A Thousand Years for example :wub:).

 

Vacation clicked in the sun in the car, where it sounded refreshingly great! It's done well to get as high as #8 in Eurovision season! Ha, that is a bizarre quirk about Sober! Primadonna is really good but definitely not my favourite of hers, that's still Hollywood, Oh No and rather belatedly I Am Not A Robot. I can see the comparisons between Conor and Justin's songs, both are very beat driven but have a decent enough melody, less melodic songs seem to have a trouble cracking my top ten usually (especially in Eurovision season when it's so busy!) but we'll see - regardless though, it's my favourite Justin Bieber single in a while.

Oh! :lol: Well I'm sure it'll get there quite easily, she screams one hit wonder though, I downloaded her EP and it's boring/forgettable besides this song imo.
