I think they were talking about fun. :kink:

Unless that refers to a certain notorious video of Tulisa's, I don't get it?

Dunno if ts already been postee cos im on my phone but Bieber released on sunday

Couldn't they have kept him incarcerated?

Just listened to the first 40 seconds of 'Boyfriend' by Justin Bieber and oh my god he has sunk to new levels of cringe-worthy puke-inducing audio shit. Please tell me he isn't saying "swag" repeatedly through the song.

If that song goes top 10 officially next Sunday, I am emmigrating to Afghanistan.

The band called 'fun.' and their song 'We Are Young' which is currently #1 in the US. Currently on the release schedule for May in the UK I think but some fake versions are quite high.

The Tulisa track is just called 'Young' now as far as I'm aware.

Indeed it is.

Well, that's confusing - Manic's new release schedule lists Tulisa's single as 'We Are Young', and I've never even heard of this other one you refer to?

OK, I just youtubed it, and it seems utterly bland - I can't see how it could be a threat to the higher regions of the chart?

It isn't just a threat to the higher regions of the chart but a threat to the EOY top 3 imo. It's become a worldwide hit and is HUGE in America, already had multiple weeks of selling over 300k+ copies a week which is really good over there and it isn't slowing down yet. I think the fact fake versions are already top 75 on iTunes with minimal airplay [not on the R1 playlist, not on either airplay chart atm] shows how big it's going to be.

I personally love it and so do a lot of others.

The fact it's the highest selling song of the year so far in the USA and doing well over 300k per week which is completely unprecedented outside of New Year week/post-Grammys effect/debut weeks may be some indication it could do OK here...

I didnt get it at first, but We Are Young i'm really liking right now. I'm not liking Call Me Maybe but I understand why its doing so well because its so unbelievably catchy, but i'd never download it or have it on my iPod :heehee:

I'm routing for Olly to make top 10, how close is he?

Have you seriously been living in a hole since the start of the year?

Probably there combined.

There doesn't seem to be much of a gap to #10 for Olly now but then Carly is pretty much double Sean Paul now so there's a bit of a crushing effect.
Probably there combined.

Yeah probably, but he'd get a good little boost if he can get to #10. He's On Des O'Connor show on Sunday night, that may help if it doesnt lose steam before then.

Ah, but being big in America doesn't *necessarily* prove it'll be big here - after all, they love Taylor Swift, but she is sadly underappreciated here...

Well, as stated above, it has had minimal airplay (not that I listen to the radio, other than the Chart Show), and I don't recall seeing the video before today - so how am I *supposed* to know all about it?

That only really applies to country artists and Lil Wayne & co. With anything else, if it's big in the USA it can pretty much be expected to be big here. And when it's by far THE biggest song of the year so far as is the case with fun., it'd be shocking if it isn't absolutely massive. Plus as already said there are two fake versions of 'We Are Young' in the top 100 despite the complete lack of airplay so far. There's very obvious demand.

Does Olly Murs have a CD version of his song out as well?

No, but there is a few official promo CDs from Epic with the same tracklisting as the new EP doing the rounds on eBay at the moment. I have one of them!

Vidcapper is right about Tulisa's song. It was called We Are Young originally but they changed it just before it premiered (probably when they realized another song of the same name was going to be massive).

Nicki's album tracks are going to dominate US iTunes I think.
