According to a Vevo YouTube video I just watched, Jessie J is releasing the video for LaserLight on 10/04, Tuesday. By the sounds of it (which was limited to a 4 second preview) it is a slightly different version to the album version - a la Nobody's Perfect with the slightly altered vocals. I can't help thinking it is going to be a terrible flop, but then again I thought the same for Who's Laughing Now and that didn't do too badly.

I love Whart Do You Take Me For :wub: Much as I do usually like Pixie's music, she can't do generic early 00s pop that the likes of Louise and Billie Piper were doing over 10 years ago nowadays all the time, though saying that it's very much like an urban track from 2003/4 :lol: The generic early 00s pop was more the first album though, she's still no doubt generic but at least she's a little bit less back in time with this album :P

As thrilled as I am to see Kanye taking advantage of 'Niggas in Paris' doing well in the UK + Ireland currently, why release it mid-week - the fanbase will have most likely bought it by Sunday now, so any hopes of it charting high in its first week are unlikely. Hoping West and GOOD Music decide to release these 'teaser' singles frequently, got high hopes for this project.

 

The Nicki Minaj cock-up has certainly put her out of the running at climbing to #2 this week, but a non-mover at #3 will have to suffice.

^ Hard to believe this was #11 in yesterday's chart update - I'd love to see it miss the top 40 all together, that'd really shut his fanbase up.

 

Blimey, bit much. It's all good fun! Yeah, it's been tanking on iTunes after the first day or so (of course), but we should still make the Top 20, which is fine with me - not bad for an unsigned artist :) And yeah of course it'll drop out next week, but I've already got my chart place - and more importantly had a great week and sold thousands of copies of my song to people who love it. Can't ask for more!

Neither of the Watch the Throne singles were released on Sunday either. I really think he just doesn't care where he charts. It's a mid-week release in the US too, which is even more annoying, since he actually had a chance of getting top 20 on the Hot 100 there I think.

Depends how you define 'hit'. It will definitely be Top 20 - remember I know what the physical sales are and I've been doing signings round the country every day :) So I know that's helping. Obviously Top 10 would be my absolute dream goal and Top 15 is an optimistic but not impossible goal.
