He has quit now I believe.

I dont think he has, he hasn't confirmed either. Imo he would be a twat if he didn't do it tbh. It has done wonders for him and pretty much guarantees another successful era. But, with him supporting One Direction and wanting to focus on the us for a bit it depends on timing I suppose.

01. Carly Rae Jepsen - Call Me Maybe 100%

02. Sean Paul - She Dosen't Mind 55.8%

Funny that Carly Rae Jepsen started off quite slowly and everyone believed she would miss number one! She also has plenty of Fakes In the top 1000 aswell

77. Carly Rae Tribute Team - Call Me Maybe

99. Hit Masters - Call Me Maybe

223. Here's My Number - Call Me Maybe

80. Nicki Minaj - Pound The Alarm

81. Nicki Minaj - Va Va Voom

62. Rainbow Mix - We Are Young

93. We Are Young Singers - We Are You

243. Glee Cast - We Are Young

4 Nicki Minaj album tracks in the top 100 now - 'Right By My Side' the highest at #75, then 'Pound The Alarm' #78, 'Va Va Voom' #79 and 'Marilyn Monroe' #97. There's also the album version of 'Starships' at #67.

Single version of 'Earthquake' back up to #36, All Stars Remix #51, regular album version #101 and radio edit #199. I wonder if this could go top 20 again this week? :D

iTunes Popularity Bars

Why not? Sales won't take a hit, in fact they could be marginally strengthened. Plus they'll be already ahead of "Call Me Maybe" by the time the next chart week starts so they'll have the top 10 effect for as long as is possible.

Yes, but the late start would waste her first week sales in a futile pursuit of Carly, ending any chance she might have had of #1 overall.

89. Adele - Someone Like You

It's so strange seeing it so low on iTunes now. Maybe it'll finally drop out of the top 100 on iTunes with all the Nicki and Now songs pushing it down.

But the Now songs will be combined with the other versions of the track, so SLY isn't really as low as it looks...

Muuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurs. Well in lad. Not surprised though, he puts the effort in doesn't he.

Well he has do do something to counter the enormous XF millstone around his neck. :P

With the NOW 81 version of top 10 singles added this week will the sales of for instance STIUTK be marginally higher or the same?

If CMM stays this far ahead of Sean Paul all week she could close in on 100k sales as im sure Sean will do around 60k again!

Which Nicki Minaj track is Nick Grimshaws Record of the Week on radio 1? Heard it last night and its brillant, much better than Starships"!

'Beez In The Trap' feat 2 Chainz

'Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded' released in the US today - I expect to see album tracks clogging up the iTunes chart; and should give an indication of what'll be in contention for the next single. Obviously 'Right By My Side' with Chris Brown is the second single, while 'Beez in the Trap' apparently has a music video (due for release today according to the Wiki page). I think going for 'Pound the Alarm' would be a bad decision - although the rap/dance tracks are clearly a lot more popular worldwide, I don't think she should overdo it on them - we've already got 'Super Bass, 'Turn Me On' and 'Starships' still selling well.

67. Rizzle Kicks 'Traveller's Chant'

^ This ever going to crack the top 40? Music video is on all the time and Radio 1 are playing it quite a lot too; a chart run of 08-08-02-74 would look awfully odd.

She?

And I think we're all assuming that they'll get to no.1 at some point anyway. This week would have most likely been the most difficult looking at how Carly is streaking away, and if she holds up well then next week won't be much easier. "We Are Young" will still be gathering momentum by Sunday if it were released midweek so the time it would take to get into the top 10 on Sunday could lose it the top spot. Release midweek and your momentum is already there, it'll be top 10 or even no.1 on iTunes by the time the next chart week starts.

Even if fun. released this week and Carly beat them, I still think they'd get to number 1 at some point, just not release week. And releasing earlier can only strengthen sales, so I'm all for it. Even if it initially 'only' debuts top 3/5, it's going to gain momentum anyway, and end up at the top.

I really hope We Are Young is released on Sunday, for many reasons.

Anyway the new batch of 59p songs are away to be released soon, because some are already showing up.

01. Alexandra Burke - Elephant

02. David Guetta & Sia - Titanium (Remix)

03. Coldplay - Charlie Brown

04. Rizzle Kicks - Down With The Trumphets

05. Beyonce - End Of Time

06. Cee Loo Green - Cry Baby

07. Rihanna & Drake - What's My Name

08. Nicole Scherzinger - Don't Hold Your Breath

09. Olly Murs - Thinking Of Me

10. Justin Bieber - Baby

11. Rihanna - RudeBoy

13. The Script - The Man Who Can't Be Moved

15. Wheatus - Teenage Dirtbag

Both are probably going to still be in the top 10 come mid-June anyway so I don't think it really matters when it's released, neither will be particularly frontloaded and they're both going to massively increase in airplay and videoplay in the coming weeks. This week Carly was 48 & 12 and fun. wasn't top 50 in either.

Elephant and End Of Time! :cheer:

I hope Elephant being reduced to 59p means a bit of longevity/return to top 20.

Surprised Beyonce is being reduced considering the amount of TV play it's getting ATM
