April 6, 201213 yr Author Apologies to Sandebörg...I don't know what happened while I compiled the mp3's...seems like I overlooked and didn't pay attention.
April 6, 201213 yr Sandebörg would like an official enquiry! Although it's quite worrying that nobody noticed until now!
April 6, 201213 yr I'm sooo conflicted. One song in the contest has the most annoying lyrics ever, but in the most beautiful language ever. It's like a pop durian #linguistproblems
April 6, 201213 yr I've listened to all the songs from my semi now, and sure enough my entry couldn't be more different from the rest except maybe Lake Thermwoods  I'm unsure if this is good or bad thing atm
April 7, 201213 yr I've narrowed it down to 13 tracks from my semi, some of the tracks seem to run into each other, there is the same theme going on, makes it more difficult to choose from, 3 tracks have to bite the bullet somehow.
April 7, 201213 yr Haha! I suggested No Excuses on the 'tell us about new music' form on Popjustice last night - and today it is the BIG SONG!! :cheer: I'm even mentioned in the article! :kink: Read what Popjustice say here: http://www.popjustice.com/songs/emma-lewin-no-excuses/ Edited April 7, 201213 yr by Ryan741
April 7, 201213 yr Well, I was a bit bored so I decided to visit the results thread for BJSC 26 where Sheelah won with the highest number of points to date! I was shocked how close it was for the majority of the contest as I thought Rontvia would have had a big lead throughout - but it wasn't that way at all. Plus, the fact that nobody had predicted for Psycho to win was surprising, apparently only love songs and songs on the Radio 1 Playlist seemed to win then! :kink: Very interesting anyways! :D Also, I wonder if Rich remembers posting this picture of Sheelah? Emma's bandmate looks quite scary! :D http://img340.imageshack.us/img340/8326/sheelahrontvia.jpg Oh, I do love visiting old threads :kink:

It was expected to come 2nd/3rd but cruised to another record breaking win for them, never underestimate Sheelah :w00t: Emilie became famous for her scary eyes and orange glow but she sang (and hit) all of the money notes so who cares  But yeah, I thought it would finish 2nd or 3rd if only because it was uninspired release schedule picks/hot anticipated leaks that almost always won whilst the actual great discoveries and deserved winners tended to finish 2nd.

Haha! I'll have to read through that results thread too! I've just seen the video of Caracola performing at Melodifestivalen - I thought that was VERY good as well! :cheer:
April 8, 201213 yr Ingermanlandians have voted! :cheer: 11 songs in semi 2 are at least 7/10 worthy, quite a few really good discoveries. I'm now off to listening to the semi 1. Edited April 8, 201213 yr by Arrs
April 8, 201213 yr I'm not sure what the relevant thread to post this in would be, so I'll just stick it in here. The description of the BJSC Forum on the main forum index still reads: "The BuzzJack Unknown Song Contest is a monthly song contest, where you can enter any non-Eurovision and non-banlisted song as a fictional country. Come and join in the fun." I'm sure it was only the BJUSC for about 2 contests? This needs to be changed.
April 8, 201213 yr The nation of Séyetana has broadcast the semi-final enough, our votes are away. If I'm honest, it wasn't as good as other semis have been in the past, I liked about 15 songs, so it wasn't too bad cutting it down.
April 8, 201213 yr Just a random question but does the contest usually take some sort of break during Eurovision as I think I can remember someone saying that it does but I'm not sure? :D Also, I think I might have found a really good entry for the next contest :cheer:
